Respected ma'am, I tried by cross multiplication method, the values of x and y are correct but they are coming in negative. I checked it twice the time if there is any mistake but it wasn't. Will you please explain by cross multiplication method as it is quite easier for me to solve this problem.

hey the cbse books are changed this year so in exams only substitution and elimination methods will come cross multiplication is not in our syllabus so no need to understand cross multiplication you can check the book too
