I think you have considered it wrong as because the earlier theorem states that if a^2 is divisible by any number then a is also divisible by the number. So here it will be a^2 is divisible by 5 and b^2 is divisible by 5 and not 5 is divisible by a^2 and 5 is divisible by b^2

(I) If p² is divided by 3 P is also divided by 3 Let p = 3m for some intger no By sbs √ 3 = p/q √ 3 = 3m/q 3 = 9m²/q² ........... By sbs q²= 9m²/3 q²= 3m²............... (II) If q² is divided by 3 q is also divided by 3 From I & II we get 3 is a common factor of a&b This is contradiction .•. our assumption is wrong a&b are co prime So, √3 is irrational no.
