Each side of the cylinder consists of a hemisphere which means there are two hemispheres....in order to get the volume of the entire gulab jamun we need to add the volume of the cylinder plus the volume of two hemispheres

That gulab jamun consist of one cylinder between 2 hemispherical ends therefore to find the total volume we have to add the volumes of all shapes including in that gulab jamun i.e 'volume of gulab jamun = volume of cylinder + volume of 2 hemispheres By adding all the volumes we will get the total volume of gulab jamun
