I picked up World of Tanks because I was looking for a way to get my FoW tanks out for some quick and easy small scale tank on tank fights. This looks like a nice midway point between the two and I’m all for it!

For sure - and far better for onboarding players to Flames of War than WoT is - as the rules are completely different

I'm looking forward to this too - it might be a good game for club nights, given it should be easier and quicker to play than FoW, which is good if the gaming group hasn't played much FoW

It makes me sad that they are changing how scenarios are generated. That is perhaps the best part of FoW

They are not changing the main Flames of War Rules - this is a tank only version of the game with a specific alt-history setting.

So looking at the British German list I am surprised you didn't identify the Centurion tanks in the British list or identify the SPG's. Were those SPG's ever real? Because the only front line combat SPG I know of was the Archer. All of the other vehicles were artillery support units. Also, I have been wondering if the German Brass were surreptitiously delaying the development and deployment of the Maus? I mean there were just so many issues with it in terms of transport, the ability to move without damaging itself. It could not be used as an assault vehicle. It was just too heavy.

I’m excited about it…I like the look of the Toirtose…will like to just try to cross the battlefield to other side, at tactical, without shooting and passing one cross check…

I’ve never been able to get into FoW, but this really interests me. Price seems really reasonable. Guessing there’s no terrain in the starter?

Nah, I once asked Peter about this, he said they were keen on maximising the vehicle content in their starter sets.

Looks interesting. Zatu are offering pre-orders for £43.89 and states release date of 1st May. Hard to resist at that price?

Interesting point.

By all means bring out a new game ..... but first it would be really nice if they bothered to actually provide sufficient FOW stock to retailers. Getting like GW's present state of mediocrity.
