Plus no offense but the only option for the Exiled in Kotor ll is turning to dark/light/neutral sides and having Malachor V destroyed or survive. Then finally leaving the plant in the ending. In my opinion they should've left the player a option to stay on Malachor V, having the echo attract the next generation of force users, teach them Kreia philosophy. Ending the cycle of Star Wars in a doom galaxy far far away.

@@0th_Law yes, but it does force growth. I'm not talking personal growth, I'm talking about the competitive drive of technology. it's far from the only drive to improve one's surroundings, but it does bear fruit for other circumstances. the internet, for example, was borne out of a need based in military conflict, or the potential therein. no, it's more damaging to the sith's ideals to be able to point out that while they are born of war, which is at best a mixed bag, they take exactly the wrong lessons from it. that they do not teach others how to be strong, they only teach others to undercut those above them, to shy away from conflict, and to shy away from valuing oneself. that is to say, they undercut the core values of the sith. the sith, in that way, are entirely self-defeating. and it's very much worth knowing that the sith's ideals aren't unique to fictional characters. people in this real world believe in individualism to the extreme, in self determinism, and in valuing "strength" that really comes across as a terrible flaw and weakness. these people must be fought. they must be disallowed success. life is not a zero sum game. when others win, it can be in a way that you win as well.

Evil? No Plagues is an extremist. With the exception of his line regarding the republic being cast down, everything he says here is pure truth. That said I was commenting on the "clearly evil" bit based solely on his words and voice actor. If your only knowledge of him comes from say: dudufilm, you'd think he wasn't so bad either. Jedi and Sith are extremists. Labeling such people as "Good" or "Evil" is somewhat misguided. Both orders are heavily brainwashed, deliberate miseducation makes people think they have fewer choices than they actually do. This directly damages a persons freewill by limiting their ability to consider other options. Simply by listening to Plagues you can see he had tremendous potential... Then the Sith got their hands on him. The Sith may be closer to the truth of things than the Jedi. Yet, several of their teachings lead them to be pointlessly cruel, malevolent and obsessed with the Jedi. So yea, he's a tragic character.

Personally I find it quite hypocritical for anyone to say "Violence can only destroy, it doesn't inspire others to greatness", When our very own history has shown that the greatest scientific leaps in human history were made during some of the most destructive conflicts known to man. I by no means agree that war is a solution to anything, but the desperation it brings with it inspires men and women to go over and explore territories previously unexplored with vigor never seen before. The Star Wars galaxy in this matter is very similar to our own small world. It is quite known that large advances in technology were only truly made in galactic scale during times of conflict. Necessity is a powerful motivator.

Pelagueis then calling that thought of asking for help instead of taking that power for your own. Both encompassing the light vs dark side nearly perfectly. And Kreia, coming in last and talking down not only the both of them but the Jedi and sith as a whole. For spending millennia after millennia fighting each other, killing each other. For the same reason never understanding that it’s their blind refusal to change and see that causes all of this.

This relates to society so much. We grew up with these pre-existing beliefs, and much like the Jedi order if you stray from those beliefs you were seen as lower than dirt. I found how hypocritical religion is (not your religion specifically but religion in general), because people preech of forgiveness and peace and doing the right thing. But at the same time, they will curse you out, tell you to go to hell, and make you feel worthless if you make them upset or decide to switch religions (much like the Jedi and sith order). The Jedi and Sith were unable to see this, and in the end they got wiped out. Believe what you want, but the same fate can happen to us. Self-destruction from the inside.

But such impulses don’t control us, so long as we remain true to ourselves. I am strong because I understand my place in the galaxy. The Force is a part of all living things, how could anyone hope to master it if they attempt to cut themselves away?” “Crippled by detachment, shackled to strength, to their masters and councils. They perpetuate their myths of higher power, following their beliefs as they were programmed into them. The galaxy can’t be set on the proper course until the Jedi and Sith can look beyond their teachings.” “I believe we must spread the Ways of the Force throughout the Universe. Plant connections and understanding in every heart. I believe in the democratization of communication.” “Stagnation, like Violence, can only decay. It cannot inspire others nor can it ever create or heal.” “The power of the Dark Side is but a step, and the Light is much the same.” “My right is the Force, and a powerful tool it can be. For only when I understand myself, can I truly master it in all it’s aspects.” “To have lived for so long, only to remain as blinded as ever. This is what you have created, countless failures, deserters, fallen, all born of teachings that have, as always, been defined by ego. And instead of allowing them to grow on their terms, all you have done is control and manipulate until they abandoned you. Such is the fate of the liar who tried to enslave others to her teachings, a hypocrite to the last.”

Revan chose to do what he believed was right, not what has been chosen for him through the dogma of a code crafted by those that have already failed. The Force does not free you from death and it does not break your chains. For it IS death and it IS chains. Upon a thousand worlds, billions of sentients whisper "May the Force be with us". And yet by the Will of the Force, they will die, they MUST die. For Balance. To see this and choose nothing is failure. To see this and choose what countless have before you, to perpetuate the cycle is failure. Break from the Force. Forge your own path as you march where no other can. For it is the path of your own making. Slay the Force. Abandon it. Do not let it dictate to you your destiny.

Bravo! Great video, as always. Also, since you seem to have been focusing on Kreia lately, I wonder, how do you think she would have reacted to the Yuuzhan Vong? They are essentially a society of wounds on the Force, like the Exile. It may be complicated to make a video that explores Kreia's lines framing them into the Vong context but some lines from audiobooks may help.. Just an idea if you are in the mood for something philosophically intriguing, but different.

I recommend you look into Vergere unique unifying force belief. She's similar to kreya as a non Binary jedi/sith controversial teacher. She also encouraged individual choice as inaction was what she taught against. They both weren't tied to neither the strict Jedi selflessness that binds their individuality and never allows them to act for themselves or make any real change or the selfish self destructive nature of a sith's own intoxicating desires without any restraint. She believed that the force has no sides and its your own choices that effect its nature and to believe in one or the other just continues the imbalance of a person which they believed was the real harm to them. I believe she like kreya are their own individuals and act according to their own beliefs and desires that don't limit their actions by misguided sense of altruism while also not letting ones own darkness and unrestrained desires get out of control. Their unorthodox stances in the Star Wars universe of light/dark dichotomy is why their both so interesting.

That was on my mind after I watch this video and remembered Veregere and remembered on how similar these two are. Though I find it kinda ironic that Veregere being the neutral force wielder influenced 3 prominent sith lords after sidious's death. Granted that she opposed to Darth krayt's one sith rule idea and I'm not sure what her relationship with lumiya but with caedus and how she focus her intention on him the most. Do you think this a fault on her or on him?

Non binary? This kind of injection of political indoctrination and pseudo science is what ruined the Star Wars IP in the first place, and why they cant get even half the original audience to watch Andor. There no such thing as non binary, there's two genders (male and female) and four sexualities (gay straight bi and asexual) keep your commie Marxist speech to yourself. Kreia is a female, comrade. Quit projecting your mental deficiencies on something the was ment for kids, groomer

This choice at the end of the video is just perfect! I felt more and more terrified while Kreia was still talking. And when I choose either side, I just thought like Kreia is coming to kill me.

Great video! It makes an effective case for both ideologies and then leads you to the teachings of Kreia. Just found your channel and I’m binging it. Any chance for a Nihilus or Sion tribute?
