I don't think Clarke would make it to the end! There were just too many signs during the series. With all those instances of her injecting nightblood after seeing what it did to the first test subject, putting knife to her throat, putting gun to her head in the spaceship. But it would probably a SACRIFICE to save Madi or her people like she did many other times before!

I never thought about that consciously, but you're right. It's the other leaders who've had to make hard choices (and who have learned to bear the wrath of those who don't understand) that get her the most. We see that in how protective they both become of her, in their own ways, because they see how vulnerable she is. But I never considered comparing them to the other characters. I'd say the runner-ups are definitely Abby, Kane, and Jaha, because they've all had similar struggles (Abby being Clarke's mom helps but I think it's more Abby's professional experience and her political involvement on the Ark that really gives her the most insight into Clarke's emotional life). Kane understands every leader best, in his own way, because he's Kane, and he's magical and special. But even with his special insights, yeah, I think Roan and Lexa understood Clarke just a bit more than he did.

I also liked the disagreements between Clarke and Lexa, and felt like that was one of the smarter elements of the show in seasons 2 and 3- showing different leadership philosophies and the pros and cons of each. Then Clarke becoming more ruthless and Lexa becoming more caring and diplomatic since they both learned from each other. And since both were like my favorite characters, them having disagreements throughout the rest of the show would've been really engaging. And yea it really did feel like they were just killing Clarke's allies/friends/loves by the end. Finn, Lexa, like twice, Roan, her mom, Bellamy, almost Madi, it felt cruel by the end

Monty finally sees how broken and tired Clarke is and you can see how surprised he is when Clarke reminds him that he is the one who told her that she isn’t god and he can actually see that she has given up and it surprises him because it’s something he hasn’t seen before

I've always been so impressed with how the show balanced so many different amazing, dimensional, believable leaders and gave them all useful screen time and it didn't feel too much like anyone was too similar to each other or crowding each other's stories. They just were who they needed to be, because their people needed them, and so they understood each other.

clarke: *saving everyone's asses for 6 seasons straight* everyone in the show: *considering clarke to be the main antagonist*

what is sad is how roan, someone who was an “enemy” knew the good and hard choices she had to make. he knew she’d save them all. and no one has thanked her yet. she is the hero in all the stories.

Raven is so proud of herself being ''the good one'' and the one ''who hasn't done anything wrong'' but she was never in the place Clarke's been. Same with Shaw: he heard about her ONCE and drew totally wrong conclusions and was so fkin mean. Bellamy? Well, he does understamd her, or he tries to, but they never blame him about Mount Weather and even rolled with him after he killed these Grounders in S3. Murphy is literaly funny with his talk, he was always caring only about his ass and later Emori's but yet he can judge her. Octavia got to rule for once and we all know how this turned out. And I'm not saying that this whole cannibalism was her fault, but it was her choice what she does about it and when she accepted Abby's idea to start killing... Just imagine this situation, Clarke would never do it. Octavia is the perfect example of what everyone else would change into if they had to make the choices Clarke has made. Only Roan and Lexa could understand her, her pain and how difficult everything was for her. It's a real shame they both died, and as a hardcore Bellarke shipper, I still believe that Lexa was a great support for Clarke in her hard times.

Yes they really need to appreciate her and thank her every single one of them I’m mad jasper didn’t apologize or at least thank her or forgive her before he died because he was really ungrateful mad at Clarke because she had to make a tough decision a decision Bellamy also made yet jasper was sm more mad at Clarke and wasn’t even mad at Bellamy just gave attitude so ungrateful raven too always acting like she’s a good person just because she didn’t have to get her hands dirty.

Ironically, in the end, Clarke who made the most sacrifices for her people, failed the test. Octavia and Raven succeeded. Clarke was too tribalistic in her viewpoint. Octavia had a better concept with her Wonkru. I was so unhappy that Clarke often got written in such a negative light when she was the self sacrificing hero. Her anger at the judge was justified, IMO, but her approach was wrong. Disclaimer- I did believe that she made many bad decisions, and did get justice vs revenge wrong. Earlier seasons in the show she knew the difference between the two. Bad writing or regression in character? I was glad that Raven, Octavia, et al chose to come back to live with her in the final episode. Most of her bad decisions were because she was overprotective of Madi. She was not appreciated enough, overall. Just my opinion.

I've wanted to slap everyone who ever hated Clarke when she always stood by her people to protect them but never repay her by saying a simple thank you

She darkened her soul and went against everything she believed in so that her people wouldn’t have to, so that she had to make the hard decisions not her people. That’s so selfless. yes, Clarke has killed many people, but she did it to save her people, anyone else would have done the same thing. everyone acts like clarke is the bad guy when she is actually the reason they are all standing there today. “Clarke Griffin and her impossible choices.” Was that supposed to be an insult? They are impossible choices. But she did what she had to do. She tried, she’s still trying. She sacrifes her happiness and mental well-being so that her loved ones and friends can live. Everyone was so pissed at Clarke and all of a sudden was so sad and shocked when they were told she died. I’m sure they do care about her, but they should have made an effort when she was alive. Clarke is the most kind hearted, selfless, and brave character i’ve ever known. She deserves the world.

My favorite part about this new season is seeing inside Clarke’s mind. You can see just how tortured she is. With a lot of shows like this with bad guys or good guys it’s easy to forgot how scarring this all can be. That even thought they’ve won, they haven’t really won. They’re still terribly scarred. Or their entire life is built on lies just to save the world.

Roan and lexa truly understand and know how strong Clarke is because they were leaders

even her enemies appreciated her more than her friends.

Its devastating that when the red sun alligns with the yellow sun that she is willing to inflict pain to herself, indicating only that she hates herself more than anyone. For all the great things that she do, the people she's saving is so busy hating her instead of being greatful. Clarke can always choose not to save them and finally save her morality/conscience but she's Clarke and is willing to save everyone but herself. I want Lexa back😭💚

This made me tear up well done, I hate how they all treated her like that when she is the only reason they are alive, she did so many things that others wouldn’t have the balls to do to save them and then they are thankful for like 5 seconds and go back to blaming her. She try to do everything for her people, not just her people but her family and best friends. Clarke and octavia are the real fighters. love them so much

I love that when Clarke isn’t there they realize why she made the choices she made. Like Murphy said, “they die now or we die later.” And that’s all Clarke has ever been trying to prevent, her peoples deaths, and I’m happy they’re slowly realizing it and all the responsibility she has carried with that thought on her conscience.

She never asked to be their leader, she never wanted to make all these decisions, yet she made them and did all she could to save her people, hence the sentence "I bare it so they don't have to." .And what annoys me the most that no one other than Lexa and Roan understood her. They sent 100 of them to the ground yet no one wanted to take responsibility and they put it all on Clarke. All she ever did was help them and instead of thanking her, which Raven did but she did it too late, and helping her bare all the things she did, they just went and pushed it all in her face saying that it's all her fault. Her impossible choices are what made her what she is right now, and that's what makes me sad is that no one tried helping her, she did everything on her own. She really deserves the world. All of them do. But Clarke deserves a break from all those choices. I hope now that the show has ended that they don't put all the responsibilities on Clarke again and just run with it. My baby girl needs to relax

It really pissed me off when raven said “Clarke and her impossible choices”. In season 7 I hope Clarke finally gets a chance to stand up for herself. Yes raven, they were impossible choices, but I don’t remember anyone asking to take her place and make them for her!! She saved the human race, seriously?! Clarke is the only reason all of them are alive and all they ever do is blame her for every single death she caused saving their asses. Clarke needs her moment that makes everyone realize without her, they’d all be dead.

Aves aryanna ngl Raven was so annoying season 6 it’s like she only had 5 lines this whole season and they were all bitchy lines towards someone

Only realizing this much later but when she is in control they get mad at her for doing something but when she isn't here they ask themselves what would Clarke do like they know that she makes hard decisions

I’m mad at the 100 because they hate and blame Clarke for everything but when there’s war the turn to her and then after she won the war, they hate her again for the sacrifices she made

Clarke gives everything there isnt always a good choice in an ikmpossible situation yet she always tries to pick the good solution for her people. Caring for them first and putting her happiness aside. She gets put down all the time tho. Bellamy, Octavia, Abby, Kane and J.. Whatever his name was all know how difficult it is the rule. Clark out of all 5 of them have done the best job tho. She lost the people who really understood her and her difficult choices. I feel bad for her (even tho she is just a character in a movie) In my opinion she is the best character, i would be honored to have her be my leader/chancler. Honestly if i was Clarke i would have given up already, i'd be dead >.> If no one appreciated me id be like "Ok you wanna hate me fine go ahead, see if you can survive without me BAI" Also how come the antagonist are always the ones who understand Clarke the most when it should be her friends and family...

Clarke is so strong, she could’ve given up years ago, she’s used to it now and that’s heartbreaking.

Y’all I just noticed Clark never got a thank you or anything but a “you didn’t do good enough” for all she’s done and sacrifice for them

Clarke lost everyone she lost her mom ,her dad ,her child all her loves ,her friends , her best friend and lost so many more she did what was best for her friends and family all while carrying her loses and the hatred other people had for her . She did what the others couldn’t think of doing and lost herself in the process. 😕

monty, harper, echo, raven, and murphy all thanked clarke for saving them and sacrificing her life to make sure they would survive but then the second she chooses to save her daughter over them after they turned on her they say that she is selfish and always playing god i was so pissed the sixth season when nobody got sad when she “died” the only person that truly cared about her was bellamy she always makes the hard choice and yet they all blame her

Honestly, if there was anyone who could understand her so fully and still accept her, it’d be Roan and Lexa-not even Bellamy. Therefore, my dumbass ships those 2 pairings equally. Clarke Griffin deserves so much more, so much better, than what she’s given in the 100.

Season 7 spoilers I hate how it ended, she never got a thank you from anyone, she was punished for saving them all. They literally punished her the entire show with barely any reward, there was no final reward, she was punished, people may think that them coming back for her was the reward, but really? No. I won't stand for this, she deserves so much more, she deserved a final rest, she deserved to transcend.

This is the best The 100 video I’ve seen truly! I love Clarke so much. I have loved her and she has been my favorite character since the first episode. It really shows she has been nothing but selfless throughout the series. She deserves so much better. Everyone hates on her for every little decision she makes but when someone else makes a worse decision than her, they don’t care. She deserves to be happy. She has sacrificed herself over and over again for her people. She has been through so much pain and loss. I feel so bad for her...first she pointed a gun to her head because she thought she lost everything, second she wanted to kill herself from the red sun then third her mind space showed her beating herself up and fourth she is pointing a gun to her head from the pain of losing her mother. She loves and cares for everyone in the show even if they have done something horrible to her. Some don’t feel the same way which makes me sad. I get so angry when anyone on the show gets very angry and mad at Clarke because she’s doing the best she can and all she ever tries to do is save her people. Once again amazing video! This made me cry because this is literally what makes me so mad is that people are so hard on her for making tough decisions when they don’t have the guts to do it themselves. She is so strong, beautiful, smart, courageous, empathetic, selfless, and is a great leader. Once again she deserves better.

Clarke is a very strong character she did make some very tough decisions and that was a hard thing for her to do. But I feel like she always doing everything like she has no support Bellamy is always there. And Raven has been through way more that her any no one ever recognizes that Raven is also extremely strong.

i get what you mean i agree. Raven also deserves happiness but i think she doesn't need ro be so mean to Clarke she is trying her best. I thought also that Bellamy always supported her. The only time i really can remember that he blamed Clarke for her decisions was when he was heartbroken whe she didn't come with him to her home with him. And this only shows more that the cares about Clarke. I feel like he has always been there for her even if they are mad at each other he sacrifice his live to save her. So I think that Clarke has always bellamy next tp her. But I get that the feels like no one supports her. Because he is often mad at her she is also mad at him often but he always forgives her just like she always forgives him. So i feel like she has always had bellamy on her side even if it didn't seem like it

the thing is with clarke is they put her in charge but when she doesnt o what they want they get mad and there only mad when people die if it efects them and they leave her behind and they double cross her and thats ok but when she does the same to them they never forgive her she kills to safe the people she loves they kill to help themself they hurt her to feeel better about themselfs she helps them and ends up wanting to die

I am very sorry that practically everyone blames her for almost all the deaths, who blame her, who also call her a murderer, she, like everyone else, had to make difficult choices that didn't She wanted to do but she had to save her people and as many people as possible, they always blame her but she had no other choice to kill people, they always blame her, but I wish for once they put themselves in her shoes, because she was born to be a leader and also a great fantastic leader, but it is difficult to be one. Only Lexa and Roan understood her, Lexa really supported and loved her, sincerely Bellamy understood her too but sometimes not, sometimes didn't understand that she had to do what had to be done But in the end he was there for her. Ps. I Ship a lot Bellamy and Clarke together

Clark makes all the decisions that the rest are too cowardly to make and when someone dies or something goes wrong they blame Clark. Clark bears the burden of all the victims and dead so the rest don't have to, she sacrifices her humanity for them and yet they hate her, come to think of it Clark is the good one. And as soon as Clark is selfish, just once (in reference to Madi or the like), she is called self-centered. :(

i truly hope that they'll appreciate clarke instead of pushing blame on her everytime something goes wrong even after she saved their lives multiple times. she deserves to be happy and at peace.

I don’t know why I hate Raven and Octavia I just hate them. Clarke’s thought pattern is altruism she puts the other before herself. She’s very strong and I love her. They all hate her for her decisions but her decisions saved them maybe not them all but atleast some of them survived because of her

What I want in season seven is another leader like Clarke who she falls in love with (yeah, Lexa 2.0, whatever). I want to see Clarke talk about all the hard choices with someone who actually understands what she’s talking about. Well, if she doesn’t have that, then maybe she could after the show ends :)

I can want to go up to people and be like, " Hey you all believe that when clarke leads people die, well let's not forget the moment she wasn't a trikru army that was sent to protect you was massacred by you in their sleep. Clarke was the only reason you all didn't die for that. You say her leading gets people killed well being a leader means people die around you and you get to take blame. Something none if you could deal with for a second.

I actually think echo understands clarke more than people realise. I mean I believe echo also knows what it’s like to make sacrifices for her people and in season 6 Clarke and echo were even friends.

It bewildered me how loyal Clarke is like everyone hated her and pinpoint her mistakes especially her friends. It's heartbreaking that no one in her friends at least tried to understand her unless they experience what she gone through and just for once tried to sit down and sees through her and see how broken she is, how broken their friend who tried to save them all. If only Clarke is selfish enough, she could have left their people and fit in the grounders which honestly will accept her for her leadership but she didn't, she still choose to came back for them ALWAYS.

Clarke is such a strong character

Clarke was never appreciated, she protected the people she loved. She bared it so they didn’t have to, she’s broken beyond the point of return. And they never took in the fact that she’s saving there lives while ruining her own. She killed Finn so that he didn’t have to suffer. She killed the mount weather people so that hers could survive. And they blamed her, knowing that they would’ve made the same decision if they had to choose. She didn’t give up even though everyone around her did. Clarke deserves a happy ending, but will never get one. And although they should thank her for everything she has done for them, they haven’t and never will.
