My lift is similar but locks/rests in place on 2 drop down supports, that way you aren't relying on the hydraulic ram to keep the bike up, pity your roof isn't a few feet higher. I never use the front wheel chock either, think I might just take it off as well.

Nice bit of kit - please do however ensure that if in the unlikely circumstance that the 250 was to fall off the lift - that it falls on you - and NOT on Mediocre! Many thanks, Mr Openshaw - aka Presidente del club de fans Mediocre.
