I believe that Smallville had the better telling of the Lois & Clark relationship. It wasn't forced, it just played out and developed.

Maybe they learnt from the Lana and Clark relationship because that one had me wanting to bang my head against a wall. Even on season 1 I was in constant disbelief that Lana and Lex had more chemistry than Clark and Lana. I feel like they kept dragging out the Lana and Clark relationship with the 'Will they or won't they' trope to try and create some tension/chemistry but in my eyes it failed miserably because I was on the verge of yelling at my TV for them to hurry up and get together just so they could break up and Clark could move on to a more interesting love interest. (It didn't help that in the early seasons Lana character was really flat and 2 dimensional). Literally after watching the first episode I turned to my partner and asked if he gets a better love interest later on (I didn't know the superman story well enough to know the name of his ultimate love interest), in the end I couldn't wait for Lois to come into it because anyone was better than Lana - I much preferred Chloe and Clark over those two - and Lois didn't disappoint but it did throw me off with how platonic their relationship started and Clark still pining after Lana, though I didn't miss the sly cut camera to Lois turning up every time Clark had a conversation about his love life with someone or someone he loves is suppose to die and Lois was the first one that almost did etc. They kept it subtle and let the relationship build naturally which worked a lot better.

I honestly can't imagine someone shipping him with nother woman. I get that they spent most of the time developing Clana(for some reason) and people got used to them and rooted for them and all...okay. But once Lois show up i seriously don't understand how you can think about Lana. Clark and Lois are the legendary couple, the powerful team, the daily planet strong couple and they were really well done in this show. Once you see these two together there is really no competition.

for me they actually never developed Clana, considering their dynamic got incredible unhealthy during season 3 and it got worse through season 4. It's a wonder to me how they managed to have a relationship on season 5. It was so dysfunctional at that point. It's almost like they were showing us every reason why Lana wasn't and would never be the love of his life. I'm glad they took their time with Lois and established that they were, first of all, real friends who always trusted each other

They were the epitome of Clois. Smallville was absolute gold.

I can’t believe some people say they have no chemistry. Are they blind... or bitter lol. This is beautiful and I’m so glad they came back and reprised their roles.

It’s impossible to talk to people that live in their own little fantasy world while we live in the real world. I have on numerous occasions given them facts about what the people behind the scenes of Smallville such as the co-creators, directors, etc. have said. Miles Millar, on their first scene, called their chemistry “awesome”. Director Mairzee Alma’s said they have “great charisma”. Director Geoff Johns said “the chemistry between those two is off the charts”. Now, after telling them that plus the article that was written about the co-creators Al and Miles, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when asked what they would change about Smallville if they could revisit, they said “The Clark-Lana thing played out too long”. So, like I have been saying for a long time it comes down to one word: denial.

This is the perfect representation of Lois and Clark’s relationship. It’s truly beautiful and the song choice is amazing. Great video!

I just finished my first watch of Smallville all the way through (10 years after it ended) and fell in love with these 2. The development and build up of their story was perfect. This is my absolute favorite tribute about them and you even included the Crisis scene of them. You did an awesome job, seen this like 50x. Thank you.

Omg this is absolutely beautiful!!! 🥹🥹🥹 The best representation of their amazing relationship. I've watched every single Superman adaption and I always ship Clois in each version but Smallville's Lois and Clark are something special. They're my absolute favourites. Tom and Erica just had the most amazing chemistry from the very beginning and the way they developed their relationship over the seasons was incredible to watch. When they finally got together, it just felt so RIGHT. And this edit perfectly shows that! Now to go watch this another ten times!

Just an amazing video!! The story of Lois and Clark on Smallville was so well done. Fabulous chemistry between Erica Durance and Tom Welling!! They did everything so well together from witty banter to support of each other in tough situations to passion and love!! The perfect couple!!!

Sighhhhhs I’ve never seen a single episode of smallville, but this hit me right in the feels. And 7 MINUTES?! What a triumph. What a ship. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 A good friend of mine, more like a sister, loved this show. She was constantly trying to get me to watch it. She died 3 years ago. She would’ve adored this ❤️
