I always enjoyed how the Smallville showed Clarks powers develop over time. When Lex shoots him with the machine gun Clark's invulnerability was decent, but bullets would leave bruises. Then as each episode progressed his power level would rise. Later episodes bullets would no longer leave bruises. His speed increased, his strength, etc.

They were all enchanced/altered by Kryptonite. And apparently, other than giving each of them specific abilities, it seems super strength is always part of it. @@DrewLSsix it's not that it's inconsistent, he just didn't see it coming. Super strong doesn't equal super heavy. I saw Captain America knock down the Hulk, the guy strong enough to beat up planets. He didn't hurt him, just made him fall. He only weighs like 1 ton. What actually doesn't make sense is that Clark isn't blown away by every super strong attack (when invulnerable), even if it doesn't hurt him. With the power of flight, you could argue that he is keeping himself anchored by making downward force, but he didn't use this power until the end. But hey, it's fiction.

It’s crazy to think how much power he’s gains from the sun over his lifetime like in Smallville his body is still ridiculously strong but by the time the last episode comes along he just moves an entire planet like it’s no big deal. And then watching Man of Steel with the effect Snyder used to show off his powers, you can understand why he’s such an OP character.

Actually it is a superpower of superman, his durability comes from a skin tight forcefield produced by solar energy, in the comics it only protects his clothing when it is against his skin (thats why his suit its always ok but his cape often breaks) but here i suppose the it protects all his clothes
