As much as We all need to see Lana and Clark together, wanting a great story plus they were keeping to the comics story. Lana Lang was definitely a greatly appreciated and well loved character. I really liked the 1st episode I think where Clark kinda trips at the school and Lana says are you man or Superman. I wish there was a great Cast and skilled writers on another Show similar, That won't happen again in this lifetime. So far the shows out there just dont seem to have the spark or spirit that Smallville has and is still enjoyed by many to this day. Not all episodes are perfect but the story And Shows episodes proved that all the Acting cast was really accepted by a lot of us.

The military life is a whole different world. You are the job. I remember when my daughter watched the show you spoke about. She and the wife liked it for a while. Then she started College for Veterinarian medicine and had to get busy. I am very strict about education.

Clark and Lana ruined Smallville. The writers themselves admitted they made a mistake in dragging them out too long. Clark and Lana should have ended after high school in season 4, and he should have been with Chloe after season 5, so that by the time he ends up with Lois, Lana is far in his rearview mirror.

for anyone that doesn't understand why they didn't end up together. The writers took their piss out of the relationship. fan's waited for 8 years through the constant cruel storylines to an ultimate diabolical end.

Smallville was supposed to be a young Superman story right? Well, if this was supposed to be Superman story , of course he will end up with Lois. That was the story. I thought they drag Lana story for that long because DC won't allowed them to use Lois because of Superman Returns was in development. reminds me of this one guy i use too know and he didn't tell me he loved me he played mind games and i didn't know he loved me then he pulled me aside at a roller blading rink and told to forget about it. But walking away from him that and then seeing him again their. It was the hardest thing i had to do standing the same room. Id die before id admit this but him breaking my heart. walking away from him was the best decision of my life . where i am now for the first time it feels right :)

I loved that Oliver queen wanted so much more of Clark cuz he knew he was meant so much more than to have just stayed in Smallville/metropolis

I can understand Louis and Clark because of the comics, and fans would've probably jumped on writers throat if they let Lana and Clark together jajajajaj BUT Tom's chemistry with Kristen is unmatched. Even the scene where he almost kisses Louis, the way he looks at her is like if he was a model posing for a camera, but when Lana appears, immediately his look changes and the actor always managed to perform the sweetest look with her. Same thing with Kristen. 🥺 So, I blame the writers for expending so much time on Lana and Clark, knowing the end. I can imagine them having a hard time to let Lana go since the actress was so good, and like I said, her chemistry with Tom was great, but still. So, it makes me a little bitter knowing that having Lana and Clark full grown ups would've make them the great couple they couldn't be when they were younger and inmature.

Yes!! Tom's eyes were characters of their own. His eyes just went from stoic, looking at Lois to a sublime look when he saw Lana. One of the directors during a DVD commentary, said that the Chemistry btn Tom and Kristin could not be taught, it was just there.

YUP Tom and Kristin's chemistry was unmatched! It was insane how they could even have scenes without any words and could see their beautiful chemistry and feel it so strongly. Clois had the mature and easy love story but Clana had the best chemistry and most epic and tragic love story of the series.

No, the comics ARE the original story. What the writers SHOULD have done was to end Clark and Lana back in season 5 after high school ended. Chloe and Lois were more important to Clark by season 5. Lana nearly ruined Smallville.

I was not a Lana fan until season 8, took me a while to warm up to her. She really did great in season 8, I liked her new stronger personality. This might be an unpopular opinion. The way she devotes herself to Clark, almost as if he was a God. A bit ''crazy and cultish'' in a way, but it's sustained by their love and friendship, that it becomes acceptable. I was really rooting for Clana in season 8, can't say the same for the other seasons though.

I don't understand didn't she vanished? How it ended up as she's coming back I wasn't following the last seasons of SV

Comics always do it better. They breakup cuz they're just hs sweethearts & are going in completely different directions. There's no love triangles, no they're together only to be cruelly ripped apart for the millionth time. They should've given them 2 or 3 whole seasons together before she realized she's holding him back, he won't accept his hero status as long as she's around thus she leaves for good. Leaving the door open for Lois to finally realize she's falling for him & inspire him to become Superman.

@@catiaoliveira219 Yes, this is Smallville, not Superman. But Smallville is based on the Superboy comics, and in the Superboy comics, Clark and Lana's relationship ends when high school ends. They should never have allowed Clark and Lana to drag on after season 4.

Somewhere here or maybe after this I expected (because it’s CW obsessed with melodramas) Lois to either A. Go at Lana’s face and tell her off about leaving Clark distraught and despaired. Or B. Lois gets word that Lana was leaving town again and tells her not to leave (of course she wouldn’t know about the circumstances between Clark and Lana). If it was the later I’d love to see Lana smile with tears in her eyes “he won’t be alone Lois, he has you.” Realizing Lana snd Clark are done.

Lois now knowing what really went down between Lana and Clark, Lois says “I guess I begged and teared up for nothing”, Lana tells her she is glad Lois turned up like she did. It assured her that Clark would be alright.

Ryan Wiggan Lana was always going to be Clark’s first choice. Lois was always going to be a second choice. Lana was and always will be the love of Clark’s life. I’m not saying he didn’t love Lois, but they never really had anything going for them other than a weird ass friendship for most of the series. It wasn’t until the last few seasons that Clark even started to have feelings for her. Clark’s feelings for Lois seemed so out of the blue and out of character for him, considering for the longest time throughout the whole series he seemed to wanna hurl at the thought of him and Lois together. But Clark always had strong feelings for Lana, and always chose her no matter what. Is it really that surprising that Lois would be a second choice compared to Lana?

Btw, Lois was created by Superman creators to be his companion. They are the first couple of comic book in history. In comic Lana was only a crush and a friend to him. If you want to talk about love, I think he loved his college gf more than Lana lol. But Lois is his bridge to humanity. If you take away Lois from him, he'll go crazy and become a tyrant and a killer with God like powers.

In Bronze Age, he said to Lana he eally got over her and he always ask himself how his life would be if they were together. Smallville only explicited that. Clark will alway love Lana more than anyone. Sadly, they just couldn't end up together, because of the stupid canon. And just to remember, Lois did appear in the serie in the season 4, so the fact DC was preparing a movie isn't a excuse...

He's Superman, as his story ended with Lana, it began with Lois. It's been that way in the movies, in the comic and regular books, in other TV shows. That's his chosen one, this isn't the exception and all you weak minded folks need to get a damn grip on the Lana Clark scenario, it was gonna end and while it hurt incredibly, Lana was never meant to be Clark's chosen one, Lois is and has always been his chosen one.

I've seen no chemistry between Clark and lois. Only Lana he ever fell in love with. it's obvious.

The Lana Love Story is the opposite of the Lois one. Lana drains and draws him like Kryptonite. In the end making her actual Kryptonite was symbolic of who Lana was to Clark emotionally as well as physically through their entire ups and downs. Clark made Lana into the hero she became, even saving her from her evil Luthor side which is draining for someone who has to save the world. Lois was a completer. Even when she needed saving, she was never the damsel in distress like Lana was, even with powers. She lifted and empowered Clark where as Lana empowered Clark by breaking up with him umpteen million times. Lana wasn’t breaking Clark’s heart, he was breaking hers! It’s annoying how y’all love to make him the victim in him and Lana’s drama. At the end of the day Lois is the second choice. He was forced away from Lana.

@@kirstenrox234 What i said has nothing to do with who was breaking who's heart. In fact, IMHO, they were equal contributors--as is the case the majority of the time in a toxic relationship. My point was is that the relationship was toxic. Clark constantly lied, but was reinforced to even by having to time travel to undo telling her the first time to save her life. Lana fell for Dark Clark in Bizzaro and the Phantom as well as Lex Luthor. Dont tell me she didnt break Clark's heart. Heck, even Chloe believed in Clark when she knew he was lying and keeping secrets because, as she put it, you dont really believe in someone if they have to explain everything as well as knowing that when he lied, it was to protect her, something Lana could never do nor comprehend. Clark and Lana had a Selfish love, she even admits it when she leaves in season 7. They never trusted each other. The relationship was draining and toxic for both of them, but Clark with a much greater weight didn't get understanding even when she finally knew, but as with all Toxic relationships, they usually have to be forced apart because the co-dependency is an addiction that has to be torn away like turning her into walking kryponite did for both of them. Clark had a selfless love with Lois. He learned from his mistakes and Lois learned from her relationship with Ollie and they strengthened each other--realizing the others needs and perceptions to each other and the world. He realized she needed to be in tje fray, so he trusted her by giving her assignments as the blur. Even when Lois found out, she waited for him to be comfortable in telling her. It was the very definition of a healthy, selfless relationship. That is just the facts.

@@kirstenrox234 also true to me; he broke her heart a lot. A lot of the problems they had were because of him to me. you wanna be with her? Then tell her the damn secret and be with her because at the end of the day if she's really gonna be your wife then she's going to know. If he had just told her they could have been together without all the other baggage. And it was past the point where it was about her safety to me.

God I hate her hair in this season! It looks so bad on her!

When she said maybe Clark and Lana were never meant to be together. Theres no maybe about it made Clark look like a desperate sad little boy. And he was supposed to be Superman. What a Superjoke.

Lois and clark all the way. I just admired how their relationship grew. Clark and Lana were cute but it was more of a love at first sight kinda thing, I kinda prefer when best friends fall in love😏

Why did wroters wrote Lana out Lois boring.

The thing about the scene is clark showed apsoulely no love for lana when he saw her. And everything had to be about her again. She was the biggest narcicist on the show. I despised the lana character.

I ve s'en all 3 first season and became boring and stressing Clark and Lana always hurting each other maybe Clark dont know really Lana she want to be important for becoming à hero in his on life

Clark was so pathetic. And that guy was supposed to be superman. Lex should have gotten the suit. She should have died trying to get the suit meshed onto her. It would have been a better ending for Clark and lana

Lana was always flip flopping. Always breaking Clark's heart. He loved her dearly but it was a complicated painful sad type of first love. If I had to endure Clark crying over her one more time I would have quit smallville. Lana is so lost and it confuses Clark. He could never hit his full potential with her.

Clark was the one who kept breaking it off because he couldn't be honest with her...Lana made plenty of sacrifices with and for Clark which is more than anything Lois did. To add Clark couldn't reach his full potential because he was stubborn...Lana had nothing to do with that she always pushed him to be the man she always thought he could be.

@@HazelAmarie yeah all that may be true. I did love them together and I understand why Clarke felt he couldn't be honest with her. He didn't want his powers to affect their relationship. And it did. Its like they always felt like they had to be equals to work. Either he is giving up his powers to live a normal life with her or she is becoming obsessed with power to be like him. It all just led to unnecessary sacrifices and heart break.

@@ninad.7152 Lana was an abuse victim who suffered from severe abandonment issues her getting obsessed with power was her way of taking control...The first thing she did was try and get back at Lex for all of the pain he caused her. I get it wasn't the right way to go about it but I understood her reasonings behind it...Once she gained powers again she learned how to control it she wasn't out for revenge she was focused on working with Clark and saving lives.

It's funny what you said, because I have watched the show and I think it's just the opposite. To me, Lana is the most important person to shape Clark's character. He just became the man he had to be because of her.

Clark and Lana should have ended in season 5 after high school ended. The way the writers handled Clark and Lana has to be one of the worst examples of comic book adaptation ever.

Not the best hair for lana, i mean chloe twins,??? Really funny, chloe was hypoctrite, she never like lana, but she staying close to her for keeping the friendship between clark, poor lana she can make much more better... even she had a power of beauty

I like lana lang and clark kent not lois lane

At this point in the series I really wished Lana would just go away. I got so sick of the same old Clark and Lana BS going on for 8 seasons

@@HazelAmarie Right!!! Without the Clark and Lana scenarios, there would not have been this point....a season eight I seriously get so sick of people not understanding Lana's plight. I am at the point where I think its willful blindness. That girl went through it emotionally as well as physically by everybody in her life, especially Clark. She deserves all the props and none of the hate. These avid comic heads are the ones that need to go away.

I may be alone with this opinion. But Lana became an annoying character halfway through the series. After she divorced Lex, she should've faded away. Sure, she was Clark's first love and they had sex. Then she goes off to Paris. She has a relationship with the football coach. Then Clark and her are back together. Then she has sex with Lex. Then Clark and her are back again. Lana became such an annoying part of the show that they couldn't let go of. Oh, not to mention that she's also the reason Johnathan dies because Clark can't get over her death. He traded his father's life for the woman who had sex with many of the main cast members. I think Clark should've dated more women, I was tired of Lana after about season 5. I liked Alicia, they should've kept her on for more episodes.

I dont know what clark ever saw in her they made it seem like she was the prettiest girl in smallville high. If that was true smallville high had a pretty low opinion of itself. Lois only went there a month and she was more attractive than lana. And 100 percent less boring. If Martha and johnathan were there they would have been embarrrssed for Clark. And they would have snapped some sense into his head.

The worst couple in the entire series. She was immature and selfish. She doubted Clark at every turn. The writers literally had to force them down our throats.
