This was an excellent lecture! I am an Orthodox Rabbi and love hearing about the Noahide community! It is awesome and I welcome you with open arms and and a loving heart! Keeping in mind that EVEN one who was born Jewish cannot keep all the 613, is important! There are numerous commandments we who are outside of Israel, cannot fulfill. We are each assigned specific mitzvot\commandments based on who we are and where we are.

Hi Rabbi. I am exploring becoming a Noahide. Are there opportunities to be of service to the Jewish people like schlepping things Jews are ritually unable to carry/touch?

I'm seeing this video at just the right time. It is certainly what I needed!!!!! Hubby and I are in our 70s and just starting this journey. Yes, it's been a very long, twisting road to get here and I needed some stabilization today....Affirmation. My heart is Full. Thank You.

@@silversurfer2703 Because in Judaism you do not need to convert to Judaism to have a relationship with God. Jews follow strict laws and rules from the Talmud and Torah because they are the 'chosen people' of God, and he gave them, the hebrew people, the laws, so they must follow them. Gentiles however are not expected to do the same.

Thank you for getting straight to the point and explaining things better, because you're right. I have felt patronized sometimes. Like a kid wanting to be on the football team and being told, Well, you're not quite good enough for the team, but hey, we'll let you be the mascot. I felt like, No thanks, if I wanna feel like a mascot, I'll go jump into a a giant red bird costume and dance around on a football field. I really hate feeling like I'm being treated like an idiot, like the court jester and you helped diminish that feeling. You helped me remember what it's about, getting closer to Hashem.

I truly appreciate the clarity provided on study boundaries for non-Jews. Rant that came to mind around 14 minutes: I am a woman in my 30s who was raised by a christian lesbian (yes it was weird) and I have been trying to look into the noahide laws because I gravitate towards Judaism morally (idolatry always put me off and it took me decades to come to terms with my gut feeling being correct about christianity being idolatorous). But I feel in is inappropriate or unnecessary to convert unless one of the following happens: 1. I end up wanting to have a permanent romantic/marital relationship with a Jewish man. At least living with said hypothetical spouse. 2. I end up raising/adopting a Jewish child/the child of at least one ethnically Jewish parent. I do have questions regarding the more specific boundaries for the 7 laws of Noah in modern times and have mainly consulted with one close friend who is Jewish and went from being fairly apathetic or orthodox. For example, when it comes to the rules for murder, adultery/sexual immorality, theft, & eating the flesh from a live animal I tend to ponder the following: 1. Murder: Is it only intentional killing of a human, or can it include manslaughter? Also is killing in defense of self/others (Ex. Killing an intruder due to castle doctrine) acceptable or a sin? I actually advised to kill if the castle doctrine scenario comes up; not wound. 2. Sexual immorality: Is all pre-marital sex immoral? What are the options of any to have an acceptable romantic/sexual relationship (not offending Hashem) if a gentile does not condone celibacy (I think intentional celibacy is insane) if you do not want to get married (is any level of cohabitation still marriage)? 3. Theft: In the modern era we have access to so much information online that I can follow how theft by deception & of physical objects is theft. But what about streaming online media/piracy on sites like KZread or Putlocker? 4. Eating flesh of a living animal: I could be wrong about this but I thought noahides could consume hunted game if the blood was drained? With kosher practices for meat my impression is that Jews are not supposed to eat animals that were shot/killed in a field? 5. If you break any law of noah during your lifetime are you doomed or is their a way to repent?

It seems a good analogy is that The 7 Noachide Laws is "Constitution" and it has a "Specific Provision" and "Implementing Regulations" within it . Ex. Prohibition against Theft/Stealing Would include concepts/mitzvots: - Honesty in Transactions - Business Fairplay - Respecting Properties of Fellow. - Compensation of ones labor Among others.

Yeah, the absolute biggest hurdle for me is, from my perspective, being told to do less. The automatic alarm sound from the Metal Gear Solid game goes off with the red exclamation ‼️ mark over my head. What?!! Do 7 instead of 10 commandments?! You're out of your mind! This is sacrilege! That's the knee jerk reaction. That all the pastors were right about the Jews. Blah, blah, blah, on and on. That, honestly will be and is the reaction of my family and to be honest, that is still something I, to some degree, debate with myself. I have these mental arguments. What're you crazy?! Do less for G-D?! The chutzpah! But, the reality is, I'm already doing less. I'm already not living up to the standard of some of the very basics. I think a number of Christians, if they really examined the entire text of the 10 commandments, they might realize that they might be keeping 6 commandments the way they really should biblically, let alone 10. For me, it's has been more about wanting to leapfrog thru the stages, the levels. Honestly, there's some fundamental aspects of living a G-dly life, that are boring and tedious. No fun. But they can't be skipped. I'm realizing that's why I can't jump ahead. Like I explained to my grandson, who wanted to skip ahead to the last page of one of his school subjects, "But.... you're not going to know what's going on or why you're doing this or that that is explained on those earlier pages! You have to master certain things to the point that they're easy for you, before you can move on to the more challenging "cool " stuff. Just like when you want to learn to do stunts on your bike. You have to master just simple basic riding the bike first." Then I had to start applying what I was telling him to my own spiritual walk. Do I like it? No! But the same way no public school system would have let me enter High School without that paper that said I mastered everything required to finish 8th grade, Hashem is not going to let me enter as a convert to Judaism until I master Noahide. Not because He's discriminating against me, but because it wouldn't be good for me to jump into the pack with the big dogs, while I'm still a spiritual puppy. I'd get left in their dust. Hashem doesn't want that for me. I had to realize it's not about anyone trying to keep me from achieving my goals. It's not about anyone trying to keep me down, to put me in a tiny box in a corner. It's exactly the opposite. It's about making sure I'm ready to tackle the next level before throwing me into it. No one is saying, "Never" to me and certainly not Hashem. All they're saying is, "Not right now". Hashem is saying, "Yes, everything you want to do is righteous and you can do... You CAN go to level 50... AFTER you beat level 49". That's it. It's frustrating sometimes. Sometimes I feel like I will never get through level 49, that I will always be on this level for the rest of my life. But, when I do beat it, I'll be happy and excited to meet all the challenges of level 50.

This actually answered a lot of questions. I am in the process of researching the idea of conversion. I cannot go through orthodox conversion as I would very much like to do because I have a high rent and a lot of bills, so I work a LOT! I have to fight with the boss, so to speak, just to get Shabbat off. Also, I am not able to move to within walking distance of a Chabad. I am working with a reform Rabbi right now, and when I am in a better position, I will renew my conversion through a Chabad. I am converting because of all the religions I have looked at, I feel like Judaism is the only one that has spoken the truth to me. The others appeared too fundamentalist and imperialistic to me. I want to live the Torah, but I need to learn much more. Any thoughts or feedback?...

Everyone should study torah, talmud and kabalah. No matter what race you are everyone should know what they teach

The instructions that are to be taught to all nations are the same instructions giving to Israel. There is only One Torah.

It will take another century for Noahide to be distinct from the Jews yet keeping the laws at the same time.

I have quickly found the first 6 Noahide laws in the scriptures, but I cannot find the one about eating a limb of a living animal. (Not that I would want to do that). Where is that law found in the scriptures?

"You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the LORD your God.'" - Lev 24:22 This verse is in Torah because of the very idea that a Jew would have a separate law from non-jews who live under the jurisdiction of Israel. And if a non-jew is NOT under the jurisdiction of Israel, you can't impose governance on them in the first place. A teacher of Noahide does not necessarily have evil motives, but for sure his understanding of Torah is elementary and should not be taken as authoritative. Furthermore, any beheading or subversion that happened from a Jewish source or proxy (ISIS), will themselves be beheaded or removed from Israel according to their involvement. Why? Because Israel first has to make a peace offering with a nation before waging war on them, and after the rejected peace offering, a war has to be openly declared. In other words, Israel is not allowed to subvert other nations from the appearance of friendship. They have to officially declare war on that nation before doing war actions. Lastly, no Jewish war or halacha is truly backed by Hashem until mashiach comes and decides the halacha.

Besides the idea that anyone who lived on earth could be a god is the equivalent of blasphemy and sounds basically like a roman pagan mystery cult of the deification of ceaser. If you want to worship a dead roman emperor, do so. Just know what your doing at least.

Where exactly in Torah can I find the Noahide commandments

Thank you ever so much for your insight,seems as though I May ?? possibly have had the wrong end of the stick.I was under the impression that I should not be keeping shabbat ,Which by the way My shabbat is basically refraining from work and dedicating time to prayer and study no more no less. As I don,t know what Jewish law is unless its in the Tanach I just assume i,m not breaking any ? but I have heard Rabbi,s say (on youtube) that we should not keep shabbat.So hopefully they are not refering to what I term as keeping Shabbat.I do not follow christianity and never have done, so I certainly can not be accused of idolitary, so As i,m not getting any younger,What I would dearly like to know is ? Is it possible to have A Rabbi (Jewish or Noahide)say a few words over you,when you go to meet your maker ? as I have nightmares that some christian priest is going to send me on my way ! ,If anyone has any info on this I would be very pleased to know.May HaShem bless you all.
