I love how she said "I knew that I could beat her regardless of her size and strength." She had faith in herself and wasn't afraid of a challenge. I love this.

The fact that Claressa can acknowledge in real time and post fight, each round she won and lost and break down the events in those rounds is a testament to her intelligence and self awareness. You'd be surprised how many delusional people there are walking around that lack any accountability and honest self awareness.

The way Shields can analyze herself and her opponent during live combat is astonishing.She doesn't even need a corner. Even when her team mentioned heavy weight division she took the logical approach.

Not only was this a fantastic fight for women’s boxing, this was a fantastic fight for boxing period. The explosiveness, work rate and fitness of these fighters (undercards included) has to be appreciated! Hats off to Clarissa for an emphatic win. Just proved she’s the GWOAT 👏

Great atmosphere! Money well spent. As a UK Black, I would say the Brit fans were a little salty and disrespectful, booing a champ and many started to leave b4 the result was called. And I have no idea why so many ppl need to drink and be drunk at a sports event. Shields from her opening dance to dancing around Marshall, was a joy to watch...although a little heart-stopping at times! Well done both!

@@User-dc5ob agreed. No sure what fight people watched but not knowing either fighter that well when I watched this I expected it to be competitive, instead it was one sided from the opening bell. All I saw from Marshall was she is tough and was able to with stand that punishment. Felt sorry for her as she'd been completely outclassed and someone somewhere convinced her she was in with a chance against Shields. It's a shame too as if ever there was a Big mouth personality that needed taken down a peg or two it is definitely Shields. Even looks like Mayweather FFS. Marshal wasn't the person to bring her down though, not a chance.

Savannah fought well but on this occasion she couldn’t land that ko punch which is testament to Clarissa’s defence. On balance Clarissa is the best woman’s boxer I’ve ever seen. Also underneath all her bravado she seems like a lovely person too.

Claressa first few answers are a great display of her ring IQ. She was doing a lot of quality thinking in a high pressure situation. Thats one critical attribute that separates elite fighters from good fighters. The fight showed that she had the wherewithal to implement the adjustments.

We need to remember this past weekend of boxing...the most humility we have ever seen and probably the most major fights we have had in one night...but every single one ended with true sportsman and sportswomanship. This weekend made me realize how beautiful boxing truly is

Shields is unbelievable

Shields was superb new exactly what she was doing and was in control every round speed and ring craft will always beat a slugger

My hats off to Shields for going over to the opponents backyard to have this fight. Being the champion, she could have easily demanded the fight happen in her own backyard, but didn't! That's class right there IMHO! I hope there is a Shields vs Marshall II, but in Shields backyard next time. I'm sure Shields would put on a show for the ages if that happens. Imagine if Shields had the hometown crowd behind her? Shields is the GWOAT without a doubt now. She is one bad m'fing female fighter. She blows my minds and I'm so proud of her.
