Interesting comparing this with Rankin/Marshall. Shields outboxed Rankin for sure, but never unduly troubled her. Marshall absolutely dismantled Rankin without breaking sweat, and inflicted the first stoppage in Rankin's career. I think Shields will struggle to cope with Marshall's movement and power. Marshall has stopped her last 7, while Shields hasn't stopped anyone in her last 10. So to win, Shields has to make it to the final bell AND outscore Marshall - because she's not going to get a stoppage. While Marshall has two ways to win, because she has a very decent chance of stopping Shields and has the boxing smarts to have a chance of outscoring her too. And Marshall has the mental edge, as the only fighter to have ever beaten Shields. Going to be a fascinating fight!

Although Hanna got pounded by Clarissa she proved to b a good boxer. She absorbed all the pressur like a detetmined fighter not to give up until re free stopped it. That's boxing great Hanna

The Ref did his JOB!

Shields is quick and accurate with her punches. But the damaging effects isn't intense. Marshall's fight with Ranking showed the devastating effects of of her punches where the referee stopped the fight in round 7 for Marshall. Shields would have to go into that fight with the mindset of winning on points. She should stop the talk of knocking out Marshall.

@@TheWallethead this comment has aged pretty well. Seen as yesterday my theory proves even truer. Marshall is by far the most dangerous female boxer and trust me your lack of knowledge will show when shields gets KO'd. Marshall isn't just a one trick pony. She has good movements and defense. She's gonna wipe the floor with shields.

How the hell can C Shields call herself the Gwoat, footwork not that good, she throws volume punches, no real power in her punches - K Taylor is faster, got better footwork and got a better knockout record.and rated pound for pound the number 1 by ringside magazine and she's a more proactive fighter - upside for C Shield she's got 2 gold medals to Katie one, but K Taylor got 5 consecutive gold medals at the world championships, another women who could be classed number one in the pro game is S Marshall the only women to defeat C Shields who's got a much better knockout record, stopped H Rankin withing 7 rounds, fractured her jaw and perforated her eardrum in the process, S Marshall also stopped M Lindberg within 3 rounds who said she's never felt such power, M Lindberg went 20 rounds with C Hammer, yet C Shields could not stop C Hammer, had to settle for a points victory.

I don’t think shields can hang with Taylor or Serrano

They are champions already at just under 7 fights?. Women Heavier Weight classes are leally undermanned are they not?. Two minute rounds are not enough for developing a good hard pace of a boxing match too. So Clarissa beat her as an Olympian before too, right?. They got no power in their punches, why punch with the side of the globe too?. What a joke of a fight, really no real winners here.

Sheilds has 0 punching power but yet thinks she would survive ali keep dreaming!

And understand u give ali some matches maybe a year or more to get into fight shape focused and timing back , cause she definitely is just as fast as sheilds i guarantee if sheilds try going toe to toe. Like she did in this fight it wont make it past round 6. When u look at these older warriors understand they wooped ass to get where they are and the worst u could do is underestimate ! Michael Moore vs george Forman and moore was wooping everything he fought before big old as u say george understand if ali fight moneyteam is there!!! that's a product of roger! and floyd and pops will be there to support her in training and fight night so u would see exactly what that old woman can do and why she is the greatest !
