This game looks really cool! I love resource management--and I especially love soloable games.
Excellent run through of the solo mode. I used this as the basis for learning the game then just ran through the rule book quickly to explain a few points.
Appreciate the playthrough!
Great video Tom, thanks! Now ready for my first solo run
Wow, looks like so much fun! Have to back it now...
Thumbs up for the solo playthrough.
I can't wait for this game to arrive. It's surely going to be in my Top 3 of 2017 for sure.
Wow this game seems lighter than I feared. Lovely!
Great playthrough, I contacted my LGS and requested they order some copies for the 2nd print run.
Great work

Thank you, glad you liked it :)
1. Grab Export contract, that you desperately want. 2. Drop it. 3. Put it in a box. 4. Profit. :D
Great video. I am quite bad at this game but do enjoy it. You played very well - you would kill me in this game...
Tom, you were playing pretty well! I'd love to challenge you one day ;)

thought the same, good decisions!
This is so like Terra Mystica. Not a bad thing - TM is a top 3 game for me. Great walk through.
In the last round did you make lumberjacks in spaces without forest?
Thanks for the video Tom, it certainly encourage me to back. What's your view on Automa in board games with Solo play? Would this game work well with an Automa player built in? What about this game sets it apart/above/distinquishes it from the rest in your opinion?

I do tend to prefer some kind of Automa to a beat your high score solo variant, but I think the variability of the scoring tiles, port bonuses and clans would change it up enough to keep it interesting. An Automa would be great, neighbouring bonuses for example are a great thing in the multiplayer game and play a big part in where you place, so having an Automa spreading out on the map by itself would be fantastic. I have no idea how you'd go about doing that though :) It takes a lot of elements I loved in previous games and uses them together really well. Where you're spreading out on the map is really important with the types of land, port bonuses, cost, possible bonuses in scoring tiles, it's really satisfying to be working that puzzle out. Then there are all the different bonuses that you can get from the export tiles, straight points, resources, the imported goods that score in an interesting way, and the variable market makes it possible to be trading the goods rather than always having to build everything.
Did you count settlements in pairs?

No problem, Tom!
Thanks Tom. Your video made the rules easy to learn. Did you get ever take up the designer's offer to you to play him?

Not yet, he was incredibly busy (seemingly) selling out the game in Essen!

Next time. I can see why it sold out. It's a great game! Luckily I picked up a copy of the 2nd print run from Juma's website.
just glancing here... visually reminding me of Isle of Skye

Same artist! And the end of round scoring is a little similar
very nice playthrough, enjoying you channel a lot, we seem to have the same taste in games :). i've just gotten back to this game, realising (once again) how great it is. also, i've been playing it solo, but in the rules it states that you do not track imported goods in solo play, right? anyways, keep it up!

just realised this was probably tweaked in final product, didn't realise this was an earlier version, sorry :).

No problem :) yeah, sometimes things have changed since the playthrough when I've made them for Kickstarters
What's your opinion of those little clear plastic disks used to track costs? They seem like they could be problematic.

As long as I move them properly on to the numbers they're fine, it could be a problem if knocked. You get into the habit of moving them where you're placing the merchants (or at least I do when I'm not filming it!)

They will be thicker transparent markers than in this prototype. The final markers (3mm thick) were out of stock so we just used Bingo chips for the prototype.
Also, end game scoring, it's not number of separate settlements, it's number of units that are connected...
On Minute 20, you sell a Milk... but you Put your Merchant at "Purchase" and you Already Purchased Items. is that Possible in the solo game or a mistake ?

Yes, he should have put that merchant on the +bottom+ (sell) and moved the disc +down+ one. (This error was corrected around 22:00.)
Hi Tom, great playthrough I am going to try and late pledge for this, just wondered at 32:45 and 33 mins you play two lumberjacks onto spaces without forest is this allowed?
@martenbohman7577
6 жыл бұрын
You're right, that shouldn't be allowed. Also, the miner placed at 34:50 is placed on the border which is not allowed in a 1-2 player game. Great to see a oneplayer playthrough, though.
I love sologames too, but not this "beat your own highscore" variant. :/
This game feels like a combination of famous game mechanics. I think the developer should take it down a notch, there is just too many things all at once. Don't get me wrong I like complex games, but not if they are clumped together like this it feels like the game is playing you not the other way around. :)

At the end you put a miner outside the map..in a solo game or 1-2 players game you dont use the outsede space (cloudy one).
