Ushio is the cutest fictional child ever created.

@@alexisnewton7001 No need to be far. A girl able to control animals in an arc where the bad guys are animals ? Don't see how this is going. And yeah, I'm aware of what happens in Onigashima. She's not cute for me, because she doesn't tell much in the story. Anybody could have take her place and not being a mcguffin to get or protect

@@dogti2959 that's your opinion ig for me she is the cutest thing and little yamato too
And so you have met the most precious person in the world of fiction. Seriously, she's too adorable.
When Tomoya was looking around when Sanae came to visit, he was looking for Ushio. God I love this show

He was too sad to see Ushio. When I first saw her , I thought OMG that's completely a little Nagisa.
He is going in the same direction as his father, but he has not passed the point of no return, I guess the biggest difference between his father and him, is that he has the support of Nagisa's parents, somethimes help can be a lifesaver.
"This is such a good show", was waiting to hear this from Carson.
The monologue opening by Tomoya before the intro starts is just POWERFUL

Yeah, especially after what happened to Nagisa
30:54 You know what is even better? Return to the first opening, and you'll clearly see Ushio (she's running at the beggining).
There is no one more kawaii in the anime universe than Ushio.
14:02 Actually, that ant eater plush is an easter egg, it's the same plush Sayuri bought in the anime Kanon (2006).

When Tomoya fought the gang leader their was an Easter egg
I just love the transition from the end of the episode into the ending, it's just one of smoothest transition's I've seen in anime
The next episode for me (18), is where tears drowned my eyes, and I couldn't stop the deluge. I love your reactions guys. they are the best.

I agree
Clannad is like wine; the more time passes, the better it is
This episode still evokes feelings in me like when I used to first watch it. Also Ushio is so cute like Nagisa.
fun fact: u saw ushio in the first opening, or her shadow anyways
"he literally turn exactly like his dad" I think we're gonna cry on the next episode 😢
That field in the ED will never be the same - next episode.
Next up is one of those episodes that everyone has been waiting for. When uploading to KZread, it must be very difficult to decide where to cut. I know I'm being a bit presumptuous, but I want to see the longest reactions possible!
The outro transition is extremely deep idk how yall didnt rewind that like a million times!
The rest of the series will take you on quite a rollercoaster, both up and down. Keep the tissues close, both for the sad, but also the happy. I watched this when it first came out and it has been my favorite story, of any kind or any method of telling (book, movie, music, legend, myth, you name it). Better times (and worse) are still to come, but if you don't find this to be in your top 3 stories of all time when you finish it, I would suggest you find where your heart fell out, because you need to go find it again.
I'm sorry, I've watched this anime 100 times, but I'm almost crying
Now I couldn't wait for episode 18's reaction aka the best episode in the show! So excited🤩🤩🤩
This episode resonate so much with me...no wonder this show hurt me so damn close when I first watched it. I lost my mother when I was 11. I knew her sick since I was 7. So my memories of her are spoiled, and I don't have any as "good", if any at all. That time, I couldn't grieve, couldn't say goodbye to her. It haunted me for years and my suffering became the only way I could interact with her. Getting better would mean forgetting about her, like she never existed. And yet, I was maintening a false image of her based on the pain her death caused me. I have a little brother, 2 years younger than me. I basically became a mom for his sake without even realizing it. But I think that's kinda what every older sibling go through. My father had a hard time getting over his grief too. He had to be strong for us, but he wasn't invincible. We had the chance to have grandparents close, his parents. I remember getting out of college every days and going to their place for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Sometimes even for an entire night, 1 or 2 days per week, when my father was doing his own thing. Even if I understand he needed his space to heal, even now, I still feel like we were abandoned. And he didn't go well when he got a new mate, a woman I'll probably hate forever. She had a kid, even younger than my brother. He was spoiled and we paid for his mistakes. The 2 boys even fight at one point, since they were sharing the same room. My old one. Eventually, we moved out, and it was painful. Now, at 24, I finally started to grieve, since I was able to say bye to her. In a way, I redid the funeral. It helped me, a lot. I no longer wish to die, but only promise we'll meet again when it's my turn. Leaving with my grandmother was good too, because I'm away from that environement. And I'm starting fixing my relationship with my dad too. Anyway, the next episode always make me cry. A lot. Because it's so accurate...
Lindsay: "They can't kill nagisa and the cat" Me:..
Actually, Tomoya father didn't really beat him, he pushed him back while being drunken and Tomoya fell on a mirror and the glass hurt him. It's happenned only one time and his father always feel very guilty
i just realized that Ushio makes her debut in season 1..... a little girl running through flower field in the intro song
17:00 WIDE USHIO WIDE USHIO
I am really glad you took some weeks to reflect. thank you guys
17:00 whoa Ushio got buff all of a sudden, lmao
Guys, I think I love you both very much. I'm really enjoying your reactions. how beautiful it is clannad, how deep
You can tell her grandparents love her and praise her on everything
Next episode is best imo
Ushio is just too adorable, I want to hug her😍.
*Rising back from the pit of despair* Hi, guys, back with another highlight reaction to BOLDcast reaction of Clannad After Story episode... 17... ohhh my this episode is like fresh water after a 2 months journey in Death Valley! EP 17 HIGHLIGHTS (EP 17 SPOILERS) 4:13 "I'm worried about them as if they're people I really know". Same for me, Carson. 5:29 No, he's doing worse than him: His father at least took care of him since when his mother died. 6:55 Not a single word about HOW MUCH DEVASTATING IS TO SEE NAGISA IN THE OP NOW? ...ok... 8:45 *Restoring protocol **_Furukawa Alpha_** initiated* 8:46 This smile is one of the most powerful scenes in the anime. Just think about how Sanae faced all of THAT and still being able to smile... so STRONG... just like her daughter... *crying* 10:11 That question, the scene right after that with the child and the mother and Tomoya staring at 8:52 , explains what thought is tormenting Tomoya the most... 10:40 *Subject not responding. Initiating assault mode* 10:59 *Success* 12:02 Only two tickets... everything as they planned... 12:55 *Emotional Aid Device **_Ushio_** deployed* Seriously, even the Sun turned its light towards her! It's saying "Look at her! SHE lives in her!" 13:23 Everytime Ushio's on screen I feel my blood filling with SUGAR. 14:01 Another Kanon Easter Egg... 14:15 So... you left YOUR daughter with the parents of her mother right after she DIED WHILE GIVING BIRTH TO HER, for FIVE years, daughter that became her mother's CLONE in appearance, which surely gives them another STAB right in the heart... GG, Tomoya, really!!! 17:28 The meal scene is just what you need to recover from ep 16. PURE DIABETES. 20:07 His heart is just like a dead star by now, it'll take a lot to be alive again. 20:20 Tomoya, you think to be unworthy of her love (you're partially right, though) but this way of thinking won't help, you know? 21:20 You're headed towards your redemption... and healing... About your post-episode analysis, guys, great thoughts from you, you really got the meaning of this episode. However Ushio started to be foreshadowed WAY before After Story. Watch the S1 OP...
I was waiting to see you guys reation for the ending transition :) Keep your tissu close by for the next one, I will say no more... But after watching it, I sujest to go watche the opening of the first season again :)
When I saw Ushio for the 1st time for some reason I couldn’t stop crying. She looks just like her mother. Man does this anime hit hard
OMG at 17:00 the two pictures line up to make Ushio look like she has a huge body and tiny head! :P
And here it is... The best part of the show starts. Let me just grab a few things and prepare.
うしお本当に可愛い。
i can't wait next episode
Nagisa was already cute but Ushio is just a buffed cuteness nagisa
Ushio is one of the cutest things I've ever seen ❤️
Hmm, October is going to be a great month for Key fans. I'm not going to say much but here's a little hint. It's going to be a crossover that has the style of Isekai Quartet and the name of the anime that I alluded to is Kaginado.
omg I had that same feeling the first time I saw clannad 12 years ago ... impotence and sad
Ahh... the trip
Ushio is so cute and, like, almost real ^-^
Oooohhhhh Ushio is here!!! XD
everyone get ready for the ultimate pain in the next episode
Also, pay attention to the words spoken by the robot and the girl
They showed ushio even earlier than the first episode of after Story, she's running through the season 1 opening
I thought he will spoil her since she is last memory of his wife
You’re not ready for the next episode 😭
17:40 😍 ushio is too cute
Ushioo 🥺🥺
episode 18 next, buckle your seatbelts
Next....
Adoro
This show is too sad 😭
Ushio was barely crying when she fell down and broke the tortoise toy? Trust me, she certainly definitely wanted to cry. But she was taught something by Sanae, which is why she didn't cry. Ushio was holding back. As for what she was taught by Sanae, you'll have to watch the next episode to know. And prepare to cry lots when you learn of it. And about him feeling what his dad is feeling and doing what his dad is doing? You're dead wrong as well. Tomoya is even WORSE than his father was. When Tomoya's mother died, Tomoya's father while grieving still managed to raise Tomoya until he is grown up, and he did it all alone. The pressure and hardship broke Tomoya's father, turning him into what he is today. Tomoya is going through what his father did, but Tomoya fell into depression and stood still. He totally didn't raise Ushio at all. He thoroughly neglected her. So ironically, when compared to his father whom he hated so much and never wanted to become, and when standing in his own father's shoes and same situation, he is even worse than his father.
