Apologizing is such a wise thing to do. It is true that Clark's heart is really warm. No hard nose bone in his body.

You know ever since Lana found Clark on where he was and where he was hiding, she didn't even noticed the real truth about why he ran away but now that Jonathan brought him home and when he went to Lana to say I'm sorry and he wanted to apologized, I guess she wasn't exactly ready to see him the moment he walked in not after the way he acted to her and Chloe. Well he may have say that wasn't really him about the way he acted and for what he did but he sure did hurt their feelings for the way he yelled at them but now he just wants to say he's sorry and he apologized.

As much as I loved Clark and the show, I was SO much on the side like this where Clark should’ve just told her and get it over with and see if she loves him for him or not. Always this beating around the bush made me piss off at Clark 😅

TheMegaUzumaki when did she make excuses for her other boyfriends involved in deaths? She didn’t know about Jason and Lex’s bad sides, and wasn’t in relationship with them anymore when their crimes were on a surface. Whitney wasn’t a criminal. Yeah, in “Pilot” he attacked Clark in a field, but then Lana apologized to Clark. Later when Clark recalled about Whitney’s “prank”, Lana said “Didn’t you forget about that”? I think here she actually didn’t mean it, but felt pity for Whitney because his father was dying. Then Whitney (Tina) crashed bathroom and blamed Clark. It was the time when “he” had just returned from the Marines. Lana didn’t expect that he could do such things after everything he went through. That’s why she believed “him” not Clark. But then Lana refused “Whitney’s” proposal because she loved Clark not “him”. In s3ep1, Clark left Smallville and made worrying all his beloved ones for 3 months. Then when Lana found him, he was acting to her in a boorish manner. But still she DIDN’T REFUSE him and wanted to bring him back. In s3ep3, Lana hated freaks, but when she learned that Clark’s was meteor-infected too, the freak-killer immediately became her enemy not savior (“Clark is more human than you’ll ever be!”). Then Lana being arm-tied overcame the 84kg guy ON HER OWN to save Clark. Notice, the freak-killer could kill her too (he said he hated freak-lovers worse than freaks), but she was not afraid for her life but for Clark’s.

I compare that episode with "Whisper" where Clark went blind. He suggested her to date again. At first she doubted because wasn’t sure that he wouldn’t change his mind. Then at the end she came and reminded him his suggestion (obviously, she wanted to say yes to him). But Clark began talking that he was out of line. But not to lose face Lana interrupted him, and came up with that she met someone else. Then when she was driving away, Clark heard her crying. I remember that Clark recalled Whitney's prank after he was accused of attacking someone. Lana didn't believe Clark because at that time Whitney's father was dying, and she couldn't think he would do something like that when his parent is about pass away. Then Whitney (Tina) crashed bathroom and blamed Clark. It was the time when “he” had just returned from the Marines. Lana didn’t expect that he could do such things after everything he went through. That’s why she believed “him” not Clark. I don't excuse (!) her here but I can understand (!) why she did that. But then Lana refused “Whitney’s” proposal because she loved Clark not “him”. But! When Lana learned that actually Clark didn’t fall out of love with her, but wanted to protect, she immediately decided to leave Lex. If her love for Lex really was true, would she leave the “father” of her “baby”? Moreover, at THAT moment Lex still was a GOOD person to HER. That’s what she meant saying *I love you both* in s6ep10. Lana’s love for Clark was true. Her love for Lex was out of gratitude. Also when Lana was dating with Lex, she *didn't know* about his true nature. Clark himself was more worried not about the fact that Lana was involved with a BAD guy (although this had a place to be too), but mostly about she dated with OTHER guy. But since Clark believed that he could only make her suffer, he forced himself to accept it. “I hope Lex makes you happy,” he said, hiding his pain. Yeah, we have also Chloe and Martha working for Lex, being at Lexana's engagement then wedding. I see how they were "horrified" by that evil person. Do you remember about Tess' gratitude for Lex because he saved her? But Lana SHOWED her EVIDENCE that Lex actually used Tess (after that she believed Lana!). Go watch again s8ep12. By the way, that episode proved Lana's spying on Lex was not unnecessary thing. Lana didn't believe Clark's warning about Lex because she was ANGRY with him after his heartbreaking words "I don't love you". But if Clark really was more worried about her dating with a BAD guy not OTHER guy, he would do the same as Lana, find evidence about Lex crimes and showed her (it's not a problem with his abilities). In s7ep5 Lionel as if he saw Lana through told her that she indeed didn’t protect Clark, but wanted vengeance to Lex. But in s8ep11 she disproved his words when stopped Clark (who was in heat of passion and didn’t get completely what was he gonna do) from killing Lex, because he would never forgive himself. That scene proved that her love for Clark was much more stronger than her desire to revenge Lex.

@TheUzumakiSpiral She made excuses for Seth after his spell wear off because she was indirectly telling clark she would do anything including keeping secrets for the one she love. She made excuses for Whitney because Clark lied to her in the beginning of season two about how he saved her from the tornado and both of them didn't see each other for the whole summer as hinted in the episode when he got his heat vision and obviously Lana resented how he didn't allow them to be together during summer. With Lex she was indenial about his situation again because of Clark as she resented him for making both Lana and Lex to be together after Clark lied and said he didn't love her anymore. She drugged herself and didn't think clearly untill she came back from Amsterdam when she realized she still loved clark and needed to see him, that's why she also made up that lame excuse but ultimately Clark made her so confused which is why he didn't deserve her.

@TheUzumakiSpiral Yeah but you are forgetting that Clark was the ONE who pursued her incredibly in season one. He did everything possible to win over or steal her heart for him, EVERY single person who dislike Lana or against her forgets that! They are only focused on superman or clark kent. So she wants to be with a man who keeps on leading her on and off because he's afraid of being honest with his secret and as an orphan Lana wants to be completely accepted by Clark the man who has her heart basically, ( Clark's fault season 1 & 2) and keeps on turning her down in fear of being not accepted by her much like Lana (Clark and Lana had almost everything in common) If you carefully watch the show on Lana's perspective or character you'll recognise that most of her decisions or transgressions was to try and completely win over and get Clark to share everything with her. She condoned assuslt and everything with Seth to Clark because she was telling Clark she'd do anything for the one she loves and I think it's bad that Clark didn't realize because Lana told him she's not perfect thus telling Clark not paint the perfect picture of her.

Clark has always cared for Lana in a healthy distance. He sees her beauty, smarts and talents but in that he also keeps himself at a distance because he doesn’t trust her. She is his best friend and I love her love for him but when he keeps her at this distance maybe it’s based on how weak she makes him or how she knows him well enough to know he’s lying. With Lois he just didn’t like her and that kept him in a way to build up from there but he was a bitch baby for all this back and forth stuff
