What a GREAT dance song. I am now 63 yrs old. I would tear up the dance floor. At "Smart Bar" in Chicago, whenever they played this song. The "80's" were great!

I like how it starts with a somehow bright new wave sound to suddenly become a very dark wave theme.
Unforgettable song of Dark wave time in 80's... Epic song!
One of the greatest group of dark wave. Love so much, so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Early Xymox was part of the soundtrack of my High School years and beyond. . It was so different than what was popular back in the mid- late 80s- early 90s. I’d listen to their music and be transported to some other place. Had a Huge crush on Anka too! A lot of their music has stood the test of time. As we grow older many of us move toward different music. I can still listen to many Xymox tracks. Twist of Shadows is probably my all time favorite dark electro album. The layers of keyboard sounds and guitars is amazing. I’d be taken to another place listening to that album. An abandoned castle somewhere was a frequent mind destination. Life altering stuff. I’m now 50, married, work in healthcare and can still listen to Xymox and be transported by their music. Bless them.

This song ranks right up there in my favorite 80's goth songs along with Marian, from Sisters of Mercy, et al.
Still following Xymox after all these years. I hope Ronny knows how significant they actually are ❤

In my case, there is no more evocative song that captured me as much as this one. I listened to it for the first time in 1985 through this video broadcast on the early MTV and since then it has been the soundtrack of my existence.
To think that a few young artists from the Netherlands could be making this kind of music back in the day - I remember the elusive and mysterious quality of CoX and then Xymox and the later iterations. Was my favorite band for over a decade.
This band is so unique
Very particular and original music of dark wave. That´s why I ´ve listened to Clan for so many years!+++
I bought this album when it came out. Wore it down. Bought the 12", wore that down. Bought the cassette and naturally wore it out! Adulthood was dawning and Xymox put me on the right track every time.
1985 ?!?!? Still fantastic ….❤❤❤
Clan of Xymox and Skinny Puppy are my favorite bands from back then.

This song is fuckin insane. Heard it 3 months ago at a restaurant here in Florida called flanigans. Shazammed it immediately, too fucking good

Ronny was born just around the corner here in Noord-Brabant. Now that I'm 53 years old, still perfect! I saw them in the early days in Breda, the Para I think🤔 Clan of Xymox got me immediately when I just heard a few notes of this song👌🏻
Very Dark! Fría! Oscura!! Subliminal!!

This song is EPIC.
Love xymox 🖤
52 here in Indiana - was always into the metal scene - heard track from Twist of Shadows and bought that then went back to buy their earlier catalog. They have always been my fave goth/dark wave band. I still have my long hair and could do that look but I put on weight through the years it would probably look silly. I liked their early sessions demo CD a lot. I don't think I ever knew anyone that knows who this band is... backwards state I live in.

It was truly a beautiful time to grow up. Music was awesome even some pop was pretty cool like the band ABC... so much fun. And some rock was pretty cool like the band Red Rider-and their song "Lunatic Fringe". You should check that song out- very very dark. And "In Stereo" by The Cars was another 80s anthem but for a somewhat popular rock song also pretty dark sounding. The videos were awesome. Most bands made videos that told a story and they were fun to watch! The 80s had a very innocent feel at least in my hometown. We were able to have so much fun,, much of it pretty clean for today's standards. I remember riding my bike all the way to friends by myself about 2 miles away in elementary school with parents not worrying or being scared. I remember playing outside all day, in the woods, around town. We had great parents too so its not because they were neglectful or anything. It's just, at least in our town, we were safe just like you would have seen in 80s movies with kids riding bikes all day and coming home right at dinner. We all did sit at the table and talk about our day and mom always said a prayer. Miss her. She was an angel. Dad was pretty good too. Would love to have them back. Cherish family b c you never realize how much you will miss them😋💞 I remember listening to Sisters of Mercy in 10th grade driving with my friend who was a year older with my arm out the window just feeling the cold breeze and feeling completely free. The world felt like it was good and we had a wonderful future ahead of us. So lucky. Would do anything to go back.
