My dad and grandparents lived in Forge Ridge, Harrogate, TN. They're buried at Forge Ridge Cemetery. My great grandparents are buried down the road at Greers Cemetery and everyone in that cemetery are my relatives I never knew cause I wasn't born yet. It's a very old cemetery (Greers) next to Greers Baptist Church. I researched the names and found other very old cemeteries where my ancestors are buried: Lingar, Deck, Bolton and others. It's surreal. It's My roots. My great grandpa Lingar was a well-known Baptist minister in this area and road everywhere seeing folks on a horse. Got a picture of him behind the pulpit. This video means a lot to me my friend. My parents separated when I was 4 and I was raised in southern California until I grew up and went to see them before they died. I have such loving memories of them. Such good God fearing people; especially my mamaw. They lived on a 61 acre farm and my great great grandpa lived on over 75 acres handed down to my uncle who still lives there. He's really old now. Thanks brother, you really made my day 😁❤🖒

My paternal grandparents and great grandparents are all from there. Little Sycamore and Bailey Hollow, many of which are buried in Bailey Cemetery up on the hill in Bailey Hollow. My great aunt lives on Dogwood just north of Tazewell. Many of my best childhood memories are from up there. Such a beautiful place.

Some of these old places remind me of the old home place. My grandfather was raised in Hickory holler and Mamaw was raised in Penitentiary holler. It was a quarter mile as the crow flies between their houses but to get there Papaw had to go down Hickory holler for 8 miles and then cross the road to Penitentiary holler and climb another 11miles up just to see his sweetheart. My dad took me back as a boy and he got us lost in the hills he grew up in.We turned around and he finally found the marker tree and we left.Ain't been back since. To bad it was peaceful up there.
