Yes there were pops and bangs because of the AMG performance exhaust. But now with the catless DP it's mental :)

Hi mate, any tips removing a45 2017 fan? I'm trying to remove change downpipe, tried installing mine last night but can't figure put how to remove the fan :( all sensors unplugged and tabs unclipped, no matter what way I lift I can't seem to get it out, any tips?

Hie is there a difference between right hand drive and left hand drive cla45 amg downpipe?

Great question. I don't think there is because I only saw one layout of the turbo & exhaust on all cla45's. So should be no difference with the DP

Hello I have a Genuine question that I can’t seem to find the answer too hoping you can help me with! so from what I’ve noticed The Cla45 and the Cla250 are identical until you get to the engine ones got more power. Giving the fact that they’re extremely identical and both 2.0’s - Would this Catless Downpipe fit my CLA250 ??? I really want this brand and I’ll prefer to have it over the Armytrix DP

why your cla has smaller screen like 2014 model i had bought a 2015 model manufactured car i do have a big screen but i do not have dynamic select assit package and two buttons are missing one is exhaust flap open button another one is for dampers i think i dont have that rotating mode select button with individual comfort sport sport+,i only have comfort sport and manuel is this package optional because i was about to buy another 45 amg that was also manufactured in same year 2015 but made after September that one had all these options flap button plus round mode selector buttons,when i searched about it it was mentioned that cla 45 amg manufactured in 2015 after nine month had these options available in it...and those manufactured before ninth month didnt have it,can i install these features afterwards flap button and dynamic assist package i missed that 2015 after September manufactured car someone took it before i had a chance to buy it and it had lot of work done in Mercedes workshop 38000 km driven in its service history and the one i bought which came to me was almost like a new cla 45 amg only driven 12000 km non accidental and never painted but still i feel i should have these features in mine flap buttons dynamic assist package....

No, there's no gaskets. There are v-band clamps & exhaust clamps that you re-use when installing the DP.

It came with the DP and was preinstalled on it. It's from Rogue Performance in South Africa.

awsome install vid. removed the old downpipe and radiator fan assembly in FOUR SECONDS. Why was every bolt you went to undo with a rachet already loose? lol. You had no idea the fan had to come out huh. One last tip, Unplug your O2 sensors before unscrewing them...

Thanks bruv! Bolts were loosened before and then I did the last part on video to show the steps...I had to film & work which isn't the easiest

No I used a CAT fooler that I purchased with the DP and it fools the ECU. It literally just screws on between the DP and the sensor. I think I have an unboxing video which shows it

Took my time to do it properly and it took around 5-6 hours.

Did you have to remove the fan for the install?

Yes you need to remove it for space...it's tight. As well as the air box & ecu

Thanks bru. It's got a 100mm custom intake & a BMC filter. I have since changed to a CNC'd from solid aluminium intake that's 125mm & flows crazy! I haven't posted that video as yet

Hi I 100% recommend. It's the best mod I did on the car. I had the AMG sports exhaust and it still made a massive difference to the sound

Don't have to if you want to sound the pops and bangs alone which the downpipe alone will give you. But if you want to get the most out of of it then a tune will add a lot of performance as well.

No check engine light & ECU has adapted to give a bit more power from the additional flow. But you need to be careful not to get a check engine light. I made sure to take my time with the install and removed the battery & doubled checked that all the sensors and parts removed was reinstalled correctly before starting up the car.

I also removed the ECU, disconnected the battery, and installed a cat fooler device which is installed in front of the downpipe map sensor...to prevent the check engine light from picking up the airflow changes.

Buy some header wrap for it cause your going to heat soak that engine

I am having that problem. The engine bay gets extremely hot. I also want to add a turbo blanket which I purchased but need to install.
