But AT LEAST you can look back at the season and say “Despite how shit the season was, at least we won a FA cup and propelled us into Europe.” As opposed to saying it doesn’t change a thing - winning/losing a trophy. It’s also hypocritical of Pala considering he said Juve winning a Copa Italia changes the rating of their season during their episode on grading teams based on their season. Juve winning a Copa Italia gets points for their grade but ManU winning a FA cup doesn’t? The math isn’t mathing.

Pala, let me educate you because it seems you either didn’t watch the game or simply don’t know enough football to understand what ten Hag did. Sitting in a low block means you tell all your players to sit in the first third of the pitch (the one in front of your own goal) which did not happen until the 80th minute when City felt they were running out of time and started pushing more and more for a goal. In which moment, yes, United were defending with 11 players in their own half. What happened until then is called tactics (be it luck or premeditated, I guess we’ll never know) because ten Hag came out with a kind of a 4-2-4 or 4-2-2-2 which meant that Bruno and Mctominay were pressing as CFs but the “wingers”, Garnacho and Rashford were also staying very narrow to not give City their usual space to pass in midfield and also neutralise the best of Rodri, Foden and KDB’s capabilities. Which is exactly why Guardiola brought Doku on at half time, cause he knew he had to do something from the wings, well, the left wing (you can watch James Allcott’s video for a more in depth explanation). I understand you thinking, as an Arsenal fan, that your season might have been better and you actually may be right but in about 5-10 years no one will remember your 2nd place medals or certificates of participation. They will, however, see that United won an FA cup, which is, by all accounts a major trophy in England, much more important than the Coppa Italia that your Juventus has won this season. Winning a prestigious trophy with two kids scoring, demoting Chelsea into a Conference League playoff, knocking Newcastle out of Europe, while also having 60+ injuries in a season, having 35 back four combinations, seeing Amrabat play at LB, Casemiro at CB, Mctominay at ST and DM, wan Bisaka at LB, Garnacho at RW and so on and so forth, makes this season more succesful than Arsenal’s.

I commented this a few weeks ago, just felt like putting again cus why not i feel like Ange is a type of manager who needs players like Lucas Bergvall and Eze in his team. players like them are players who rely a lot in how they can get past the back line, to which Ange is shown to also rely on. when he was at the J League, his main starters were players like Eze and Lucas Bergvall, and even players like Udogie and Johnson (Wales). I've been a Spurs fan since 2013, and what I've always seen is that players like Bale, Dele Ali, Son and Moura heavily played on their technicality, speed and agility. If Ange got the 2018/2019 Spurs squad, he would've 100% won that CL final and the Prem. (That's not to go against the claims that Liverpool's 2019 team was good, because Liverpool isn't a team that has a playstyle, instead Klopp was the one who implemented the Gegenpressing style play, which is proven to be only a short term playstyle) Aston Villa's situation is ALOT similar to the Bayer Leverkusen situation, but not in the sense of playstyle. They are similar because of the given circumstances they were in. Newcastle's top 4 reach last year was more similar to Leverkusen, because they had to work with a new implemented playstyle of press-passing, which proven to effective when it came to holding the ball during a 2-1, or 1-0 lead. They were just EXTREMELY unlucky with injuries this year, and the step up of Isak and Gordon takes time, given that Gordon has yet to prove himself worthy for the England first team. (But that doesn't mean he isn't though) Also, you guys should make a Discord and host some weekly football discussions with some fans, because I feel like most of us hear actually enjoy and wanna contribute efficiently to the discussion! Expecting more peak content from yall!!!!

Although I like BVB but the only reason they're getting kind of "big German club treatment" is that they've been finishing second for years although they're not competing. They got one Bundesliga in 2011 or 2012, but Wolfsburg and Leverkusen have done that and also they players they introduce to us.
