After all this time it feels like there's so many layers of her we didn't know and now as an independent artist she's sharing it with us, even with a 13 years career she keeps herself fresh and full of tricks and traits, she's GIGANTIC and no company, charts or time can't take it from her. It is her first album but it seems like she’s been making multiple albums for a long time. Glad to hear she is happy and not stressing out during the process of creating these masterpieces. To grow old with her meant maturing and finding ones self. Learning along the way and doing what you love. CL promotes self growth, love and respect that’s why she’s loveable.

CL creating her own blueprint. That in itself is legendary.

It’s crazy to think that we’re finally welcoming her as a solo artist, but she has experienced so much and we as fans have witnessed her go through so much. It’s almost like everything she did in the k-pop world was a fever dream-I can’t really explain the feeling. It’s like we’ve lived in two worlds. She’s been in so many music videos that have millions of views. She’s performed on so many stages. She’s had so many concerts. So many collaborations. Yet here we are, joining her on this journey as if we’re starting from the beginning. It’s a very weird feeling.

I really like these kind of videos were she just sits down and start talking, where she’s able to freely express her thoughts. I’m so happy 🥲

She is beautiful inside and outside. Some people might deny her contributions. nonetheless, with this album and venturing as an independent artist, CL proves that she can make it without putting anyone down. Her personality, her life story, her mentality in life and her artistry speaks volume. She promotes love, respect and embracing who you are. CL, thank you so much.

I also love that there aren't any features on this album. She is such a wonderful, full spectrum artist, she can do it all and fill every single space.

와 투애니원 데뷔했을때 22살 대학생이었는데 세월이여...

사실 힙합을 잘 알지도 못하고 평소 즐겨 듣는 장르는 아니지만 그냥 장르적인 부분을 떠나서 씨엘은 그냥 귀와 눈을 사로잡는 뭔가가 있음.. 그리고 세련됐고 많은 고뇌와 결단을 담은 앨범인 것 같아서 또 다시 들어봐야될 것 같음 너어무 멋있음 리스펙

Ever since i was a kid i loved 2NE1 but especially CL. I appreciate the amount of love and effort she put into ALPHA. Its unbelieveable that shes doing this as a independent artist. She's unapologetically herself and loves what she does, breaks norms for korean women or any POC. Her grind is crazy and it inspires me everytime I hear her music ❤

I respect and find it fascinating that she is reflecting about the Kpop “System” as a western listener the whole hype “title track” seems weird to me. Hype just one song out of an album then release the album and just move on to the next album/project. I’ve noticed some Kpop artists/groups push an album out every year then a repackage every year. I like how CL focused more on the album as a whole as this is “Alpha”

When she said all the songs are written as title songs, I felt that because that was truly how I felt listening to the album. I feel like every song deserve its own MV, its own promo period, etc. Every song has its own colour, sound, weight, beauty, and they are all so different and yet so her. I am absolutely in love with ALPHA.

I literally had to pause mid-video. I don't know whether it's bcs of the ambience or her soothing and calm voice, but tears just won't stop coming out of my eyes. I am so proud of this woman and being a blackjack and gzb since 2009, the pain is real. Seeing her going thru the ups and downs was a struggle even tho I'm just a fan who's looking from afar. But looking at how happy and free she looks now, it feels like we are all growing up together from the pain. She said she stayed to her roots, and yes, she never changed, just stronger and wiser. Listened to the whole album, as she said, each songs carried her emotions and feelings. They're deeply felt and noticed bcs she's pouring everything raw into it.
