Even with all the BS calls/no calls, Robert Woods not stepping out of bounds but them calling it, the fumble that was an incomplete pass, Myles Murphy diving into CJs head (yet for some reason Perryman is the only one that gets punished), CJ still finds a way to pull off the W

Texans were beating themselves in that game and they still managed to win. Cj is the absolute truth. Had the defense held up vs Atlanta and the Panthers, we'd be sitting at 7-2. Literally lost those 2 games cause defense couldn't hold on the last drive like they did vs Cincy.

Great breakdown as always Chase - Texans fans appreciate the CJ Stroud content! At 1:25, it looks like CJ Stroud was motioning to Robert Woods to change his route to an "in-breaker" instead of the "out". I agree that next time we don't want to panic there and throw a ball into coverage. At 7:39, that was my first time noticing the fake "tush push"! That was such an unfortunate mistake, because as you pointed out, that's a walk-in touchdown for Devin Singletary. What a playcall! At 26:55, CJ's eyes were so dang good that it caused #57 to slip and fall down haha Thanks again Chase - super insightful!

The question of, should CJ Stroud be in the MVP conversation? Hell YES, a thousand times YES! He has met every criteria for the award! Is he the MVP, it is a bit too early for that, considering the Texans and many other teams have 8 games remaining. Match him up with other MVP candidates and he is right up there with them!

Between OC Slowik's play designs and CJ Strouds ability to read and deliver shots. There are at least two receivers wide open for deep shots on every single pass play you shown. CJ Stroud gets the ball on his receivers deep so fast there is no need nor time for check downs. He's even able to hit Dalton Shultz on deep routes and the TD to Tank Dell could have easily gone to Robert woods crossing toward the back corner. The OC and QB are cooking veteran DC's and players. It's worse than pick your poison they have no idea what just hit them because CJ Stroud is able to throw his receivers into the best positions. This is very scary because once he improves his accuracy and he likely will by seasons end and definitely next season. We could be looking at a QB who is well over 70% in accuracy even if defenses watch tape and learn his habits. Again the OC is creating natural gaps in the defenses and CJ Stroud is finding them immediately. There's no stopping that. So much for whatever that silly test was all about.

why is the media slow to the fact he's the leader or MVP? they either need to be comfortable with a non QB or they need to get with the time. non NFL player media members are the only people who think he's not the MVP. goal post moving about it too, talking about history of the award instead of right now today. it's annoying. i don't mind if its not a QB award but they need to make up their mind about that, and if it is a QB award. He's the MVP.

The Texans made the plays but looking at this again it seems as if the Bengal's defense was not in sync,.@ 10:34 you see the db and corner still deciiding the coverage which allowed the corner route to be open as well for a touchdown. It seems as if the dbs were not looking at CJ's eyes as the play developed.

Just seems like a compliment to the offense that Slowik runs. Just like people were telling us the Bengals Defense switches it up so much and makes it hard to read a defense, our offense does that exact same thing keeping defenses guessing and making use of the slightest gaps.

If your talkign about the MVP coming out of the Offensive side of the decison then YES! No QB in the NFL has played better in the first 8-9 weeks. The MVP has nothing to do with how good the QB is in general but what have you done this year!! NOBODY is better than CJ STROUD this year and if he continues to play this way..He should win the ROY and the MVP when their team makes the playoffs (WHICH THEY WILL)

Like dan orlovsky said i dont care if he is a rookie.. if your in the nfl..your in the nfl.. u deserve to be treated as such..if anything it should be a boon to his mvp votes that he IS a rookie and looks so unbelievably good.. i mean Lou Anarumo defenses give the best qbs in the league problems bc they Play against one everyday and Cj still beatem.. and how many times are they going to have to go into a game and we say there's no way they're going to win this game yet they win anyways before we give them some credit

That being said CJ is able to go through his read progressions and doing an excellent job. I’d like to see a breakdown of snap to release time to see if it is OLINE or CJ.

MVP = most valuable player. That means what team is performing so well that if you take out that one guy they’d implode. There is no better candidate than CJ stroud. Turning a 3 win team into a contender with a questionable supporting cast at best. All these other teams will find a way to win games without their QB but the Texans would be back to obscurity. His value to the Texans is more than that of any other player to their team. Hence CJ “is” the MVP as it stands.
