After following F&F for many years this is the first time I have heard this song. It was great to see Sammie really enjoying this song and letting her voice soar. The group is always incredible.

Just tripped on you from a Todd Rundgren deep dive. Wonderful!! Now I am on a Foxes & Fossils deep dive!

Every few months I have to come back and listen to all my F & F's favorites to confirm that they are as good as I remember. I'm never disappointed and often more impressed than before.

Absoloutly love it when Sammi gets in her groove! Her vocals just ROCK!!!

I wish it were possible to give this one more than one like. The comment that Sammie rips the soul out of this song (in a very good way!) is so spot on.

Love the grins exchanged by Dad and daughter. They are like 'yeah, we got this.'

It's hard to get recognition when you're standing between two beautiful and talented young girls, but lately as I view these videos over and over I have come to realize that Tim also is a very good singer.

Glad I haven't stopped checking out the earlier songbook from time to time. It's all good.

Besides Civil Wars and Foxes and Fossils who else can nail this song? This version is so inspiring that I love them both as equals . I love Pikes drum addition on this so much and it adds another layer to this very well crafted song that was not on the original track. Tim and Sammie singing together on this is added treat.

Man, this one is hard to describe. Sammie just threw herself at this song and stuck the landing. Awesome, infectious, joyful energy.

..and hey! We should never ignore Tim's stellar vocals either, and he arranges the material, then produces it, (this is not a live mix) so gets most of the credit for what you're hearing. Kudos to Tim for being the glue holding it together musically.

I keep coming back to this and 'Boondocks'. Brilliant!

Jealous of the dad/daughter quality time of memories. My daughter sings, and is now off chasing her dreams writing, and singing. I play guitar and piano, but we never put anything like this together. I CONCUR!!!!! I do not understand why this amazing cover is not viewed more. Maybe most people just aren't familiar with the song? If that is the case, people should know by now that ANY song that F & F covers is at least worth a look-see! Sammie absolutely KILLS here!!!!!!

Thought I had heard all the songs from the Taco Place. Wow, this is top-notch. Many people say, "Why aren't they more famous, or on TV, or on a major record label" etc. It's because they want to make music on their own terms and on their own schedule, and KZread gives them the chance to do that and still be heard by millions. You just keep doing that, Tim! But if you do a concert within a thousand miles of southern California, I'll be there!

This one kind of got by me before, but I was listening to it on Foxes and Fossils Live, and I was struck by how good Sammie was sounding, so I went back and found it on KZread. I'm telling you, I am awed by the father/daughter combo. This was really good. Bravo Sammie!

Went and listened to the Civil Wars recording after this then came back. This stands on its own right beside the CW rendition. I like hearing Sammie on lead to give her her due. She does some fine work there. She just has that extra something she brings to the harmonies on all the tunes with Mags or Chase on lead vocals. I wanted to see more of her in the spotlight when I started watching these videos and she hasn't disappointed. But, if you listen to many of the other tunes you start to realize just how magical and how much more the performances are raised with Sammie's weaving it all together with her harmonies in such a solid, but unobtrusive way. Mags is outstanding as a lead singer and has that warm tonal quality similar to Sarah Evans. That is not a bad thing at all. Kind of like smooth, warm, yet complex bourbon flowing into the glass. Small batch, top shelf. Not everyday blended stuff. The whole outfit should be recording and touring as a big name band. I'd put them up beside The Band Perry, Little Big Town, or even Lady Antebellum, and know they would give nothing away.

What Tim does an exceptional job of is giving a particular song to the right girl. Maggie was perfect for Harvest Moon but could not of pulled off Neon Moon the way Sammie did. And Love Is the Answer was the perfect song for Chase.

I have no idea how many times I've watched and listened to this over the years. Lots. And I'm more impressed each time than I was before. This is stunning stuff -- a showstopper on any stage, anywhere.

Tim has every reason to be as proud a papa as he wants to be. He sired one angel. And he gets to enjoy & share her with us all. Life is good for this dude.

wow, I don't believe you could ever find better harmony anywhere beyond this song. Astounding, and it's a father and daughter to boot.

This performance is so good. Sends a chill up my spine whenever I listen to it.

Sammie was 14 when she started singing with this group. That might be a little old for the term "child prodigy" to apply but I think it is obvious here that she definitely had a head start on everyone else to be this good at 17. My thanks to her parents for giving the world such a beautiful and talented young woman.

Actually that first performance was with the Mustangs ,but some of the same musicians.With a musician Dad with a home studio I'm sure she was surrounded with music daily.

Had never heard this song until tonight. Watched the original artist at Tiny Desk Concert, then watched F&F again. Like everything else they do this is spot on. At least as good as The Civil Wars version. Still amazed at this level of musicianship in a restaurant parking lot. Incredible

Is'nt that the way it goes. So much neat stuff out there, but we have to wade thru it to find this and play catch up.

There were a few times here where Sammie just jumped out of herself - when she gets going it's impossible to stop her, she rips the soul out of that song.

Kent Perrodin yeah!!! On a couple of those “jumping out of herself” parts it looks like she positions both feet directly under her center of gravity much like a weight lifter would on the press. She’s preparing to expel maximum air with the greatest ease. It’s a subtle natural quality Sammie adds. Wonderful!!!

That beat is almost tribal and Sammie moves with the rhythm of the music as good as anyone I’ve ever seen . She’s a natural . She’s pushing Tim to keep up with her. Especially at 2:53 when she hits another gear vocally.

Soon there will be 2 million -- I watch it 5 to 10 times a day -- something about it just draws me in -- so namny thing. The great harmonies, Sammi's soul on the sang -- the harmonizing with her dad -- the end where Tim know what was just presented as he does a little move. Fantastic song -- wow!

I watch F&F like 2 nights a week as my wind-down. Have done so for years, now. This gem is one I have foolishly skipped over most of those nights. Just AMAZING. Here's hoping once you select where you guys play live in 2020, I become aware in time to arrange attending!

This band is awesome. I would fly from Texas' to see them. Tim is a true musician and the band is very talented. Good stuff!

Have watched every F&F video out there many times, and then found this one. I'm just so damn impressed, the real deal. Only sad there isn't more to the story. Different time different place... they could be household names.

This video/track cover from F n F sounds fantastic on my surround system! I cannot get enough of it! Thanks for filming and posting!

There are two live versions of this by the original duo, one on a stage in front of an audience, the other by themselves in a small room. Both have an air of spontaneity, but what Tim and Sammie pull off here is a combination of rehearsal and polish absent on CW's non-Vevo versions. Doing it live and sounding like a studio.
