I love the setup. The one thing about the drone that I've seen is that in Ukraine the drones can be tracked back to your location. One consideration when using them is to setup drop points to retrieve the drone instead of bringing the drone back down to your direct location.

I mean no offense with this comment. You do have a lot of good gear there. One thing that bothers me about your kit is the note pad with personal information and contacts on it. I would be afraid of that information falling into the wrong hands in a civil unrest situation. Just in case you lose or have to ditch that pack. Just something to consider.

You packed a drone, extra batteries and charging cable but don't seem to consider severe enough civil unrest that will make you use your bug out bag will probably also lead to mass power outages. Unless you got a geny in your pocket it's not exactly useful to bring those kinds of electronics. Get a foldable solar panel, it may take you 8hrs to charge something but at least you'll actually be able to charge it. They aren't that big and can last a pretty long time if you are careful in their care. Or even get a portable battery that has a solar panel on it. I have a $20 one right here, it takes a few hours to charge in the sun but can charge my phone 2-3 times.

And now that I'm not exactly a youngin anymore the lighter the better. 🤣 when I first set up my stuff I realized I needed to rethink everything because weight definitely matters. Good video, brother! I like the Vertx in that it seems more flexible and therefore more packable. I have the Eberlestock Switch, which is a great backpack but far more rigid. On the one hand it’s tough as nails (I’ve dropped it off a mountainside before with no issue haha), but the rigidity also means less actual space to pack stuff. I also appreciate the fact that you kept this under 10 minutes: most other bag setups are long videos that I most often scroll past 😆.

@Sundas The Savage it depends on where I’m using it, but usually: first aid kit, small survival kit, poncho, kabar, toothbrush, and a change of clothes. Top pocket contains some tools and flashlight. I’ve had it more decked out, though, which I made a video of (though I prefer not to advertise links to my channel on other peoples channels). You’re welcome to check it out, though; my kit is ever changing based on which environment I’m walking into. Right now the contents are all in waterproof containers 😆.

Having been sent to many riots and civil disturbance situations over the years, I listened to your dialog to see if you missed anything. You did a great job on covering needed items. I do have a couple of suggestions: add one small ready-to-eat meal package as you need quick bulky energy food as you move fast to avoid danger...a couple of energy bars doesn't cut it; get some soft elbow and knee pads for protection to wear under pants and a light neutral colored jacket at least one (or two) size larger than you normally wear to wear over the weapon belt. Depending upon the laws where you live, someone on even the outskirts of an incident who is obviously carrying a weapon can draw negative attention from all sides of the event participants (even with a carry permit, you don't want to draw attention). Carrying an obvious long gun is vary dangerous. Hard to get a CCW permit for one. Remember, the intent is to get away from danger...avoiding a firefight. You need to check your mindset on this issue and know your laws. I like your body armor idea but suggest a full vest would better cover the front AND the back under that jacket or coat. Remember to fill the protection/cooling flask with something you can drink. Your supplies obviously support the necessary hydration needs. Check with your pharmacist to see what is suggested for tear agents. If you are there, even with a gas mask, the odds are you will get exposed. I carry these in the gas mask bag as well as anti fog pads (protect the mask with a bag and you can anchor/pin the bag to the bottom of the pack so it stays in the bag as you pull the mask out) . Lastly, consider protection for your brain box. Even a light bike helmet is better than nothing (again, think neutral color) and if you can wear a ball cap with it, extra sun and flying items protection. Great kit. Just pray you don't have to use it or outfit a slightly larger general duty get home bag. One last thought, you may wish to equip yourself with a small capability to equip yourself or your pack with a forward facing body cam. Motion pictures are worth a million words if you are defending yourself.

If you ever actually travel on foot for a significant distance with this kit you will quickly realize that about half of that gear needs to be replaced with water, preferably with some powdered gatorade. Looking good 👍🏻 my suggestion would be to get a smaller pry bar or make one. Definitely a rain parka, maybe put some super glue and some 550 para cord in it and another fire starting source.

One thought of mine would be why have the device to let you know about what's going on in the urban areas? In a civil unrest would that likely be not up to date? Sure you could update it yourself but who knows how long a barricade would be active or it has been overcome and taken over? Just a few thoughts on that I don't know anything about the device so excuse me if I may be wrong but that may not be a first thing I'd think of other than that I like the contents of the bag. I may switch a few things out here and there but otherwise it looked good to me.

I love the vertx gamut, I use it as an edc bag. only downside it’s a very shallow depth wise interior compartment. You start loading out the many side pockets, zip interior, I put thyrm batteries and a dark angel ifak on the front flap and it takes a lot of the bags space. So I feel I have need to carry a second backpack in my truck to actually use as a overnight for clothes etc. then I have a small lbt pack for my gym clothes and a lowe pro camera bag.

So you’ve got a good setup tactically speaking, but your light “practically” speaking. I’ll freely admit I’m jealous of the NVG, gas mask, and body armor but your medical and practical is lacking. Not a criticism just a thought. My areas of expertise are fire, shelter, and medical and my pack is weak in the tactical realm. Medical needs more bandaids, basic meds like aspirin tylenol Benadryl etc. Ditch that crowbar and get a good husquavarna axe (same size weight and you can use it split wood). Get some better fire starting options dryer lint tinder gauze rubbed in lotion and couple decent ferro rods. Lastly you need a good multipurpose knife, Mora makes a $25 blade that will do everything the $300 work knives will do. Great content though gave me some good ideas.

I feel like people should harvest and purify water for just one meal and a canteen fill to discover just how long it will take for just the water. the next day when you discover it takes a lot of time to cleanse and boil water 1 quart at a time. water weighs 8 pounds a gallon. You drink about 2 quarts a day.

whats the garmin you're wearing and do you have a review video on it? Also just a note on the bag this has to be one of the best bags i've seen on youtube. not only is it very different than everybody else who just put dave canterbury's 5 C's into a backpack you have those covered very basically which allowed you to throw in a huge amount of gear that will serve you really well. The drone, gas mask, NVG's will be invaluable when you need them and i love that hard shell water bladder along with your gear allowing you to refill it easily. And you were even able to still fit a chest rig with radio and 3 magazines with all that other gear. I'm seriously amazed at how you were able to fit so much into such a small package. If i could make any changes to the bag it would be maybe go a little heavier with the food rations and then add some sort of sheltering kit. depending on how you dress IE wearing a waterproof outer layer which would essentially be your shelter adding in larger heavy duty poncho which can be set up as a tarp would be really useful to build a small shelter just to give you a small working space out of the elements. additionally adding in a milar emergency blanket would take up no space and could be all you need. all in all I really like this bag for its uniqueness from all the other bags on youtube that have the same equipment just with different logo's, and its use of space fitting a ton of equipment in a very small package.

Learn how to use them and practice using them. I'm a fan of having a waterproof paper map of your local area, incase your phone is dead and you are trying to plan an alternative route.
