    Yes, like a government who lies to the people who are so dam ignorant that they believe this pandemic lie. The people who watch main-stream media and gobble down the hoax instead of actually using basic common sense and researching the claims for themselves.. . . The people could have stopped this global psyop and saved the economy if they didn't have their heads up their asses.. So now people are going to get what they deserve for being so dam gullible and stupid, they're going to get the just now beginning unavoidable, severe, global, life changing, economic depression just like the elite planned.     It's for protection from fallout. If you're close enough that the blast heat sets the hay on fire, fallout is about #23 on your list of things to worry about at that moment.

    +Derpy Face Gamer Short answer "not really," long answer "CDDs stopped existing under that title when the civil defense role moved to FEMA, then FEMA got folded into the Department of Homeland Security." You'd probably check with DHS nowadays.

    If the food was just sitting around when the fallout fell, the outside could become contaminated by radioactive dust, but there would be no mechanism for the inside of the food to become radioactive. Just washing off the radioactive dust would be sufficient to make it safe. However, if the food was grown in an irradiated field, then it could contain radioactive particles inside it and be unsafe to eat.
