    I own the first car in this video. RX58HUY, according to the VIN its the first of all the Championship White Editions and was the main press release car along side its sister car RX58HUV and RX58EXF. Brilliant car 👍

    EK9 obviously is the best civic type R.. I've had one and loved it, a true drivers car and on B roads can't be beaten. I currently have an evo 6 and I yearn for another Type R.. appart from going backwards I have to look at the championship Fn2.. I know its not as fast, or comes close to handeling... I have to have a white on white Fn2. Just look at it... In love!

    @MegaMrDamo I drive the 5dr model of the new Civic, yes it does understeer more then my flatmates older gen Civic EP1 after modding my car with Eibach springs and camber angle, the handling equal his car!

    The Megane RS works well with a rear torsion beam. Honda made a mistake with the Type R(FN2),like Subaru with their WRX.That mistake was to make the cars appeal to a broader market just like the Golf GTI! Honda and Subaru lost their way a little.If Honda wants to compete with the Golf that's fine,however when it comes to the higher performance Honda range (Type Rs)Europe/UK should adhere more to the Type R philosophy. Type Rs,were track weapons not "all rounders"like the GTI.

    you still have the possibility to get the japansese version of the type R which has the real spirite of the Rs but you have to pay the price, as for the euro type Rs they ve shoulld named differently .....

    I've checked previous type Rs and apparently the old EK9 is better 0-100KMh 1 second quicker than the FN2 and weighs just 1.09 ton where FN2 is 1.3 ton, so not only power is the problem, it's the fate of car generally getting growing up and getting bigger in size and luxury rubbish. So, we need Jazz type r to get that pocket rocket back. Torsion beam does effect because high end clios does use independent uspension for performance's sake like the 182.

    I concur. The fact that they gave a heavier car a cheaper suspension just urks me. They could've given it the same suspension as the EK9 or developed something better very easily.

    If it had a bit more grunt under the bonnet you would fly off the track due to the tremendous amount of understeer. You're asking the front wheels to turn AND accelerate, even with a limited slip differential any more than 197bhp is too much to ask of a FWD car. Rework the chassis and suspension first or buy a Mugen.

    The EP3 was wicked...but critised for being too soft for a Type-R. All you have to do is compare the Type-R to similar cars of the same model year in that market to realise despite getting heavier and more comfym they are always signifcantly more raw that the competion. The only true stripped out hatch available today is the r26.r. But its a two seater..why would you buyit when you could go get an exige/elise etc?

    A Rotrex supercharger can easily give out another 140 BHP, but thats down to the owners choice. People enjoy the Type-R for its high revving engine, not riduclous amount of torque, racing touring cars prefer non-turbo power, and high revs

    It may not be as stripped out as an EP3, or a DC2. But its progression unfortunately. As Eu safety and emission figures creap up, and peoples expectations of what should be available at this price point increase, so weight will increase. The DC2 was an amazing car - but compared to todays cars, but could not be reproduced in todays stringent rules.

    Understeer is pretty much eliminated, as is the rediculous amount of wheelspin in the standard FN2...its a quality car
