Excellent Instructions/tutorial! Thanks very much DIYHonda! Needed to do this to replace sun-damaged headlight lenses. Knocked the whole job out in the driveway (including bumper removal/replacement) even without ramps in 3 hours start/finish (included cleaning up the engine bay). ***Just want to place some emphasis on your comment (which may have been missed by some folks) that you need to swap out the mounting bracket (as replacement lenses don't include them).

Great vid! On my honda, instead of using the long extension, i just took the big metal beam off. 6 easy bolts👍🏻

No, there are aftermarket ones available. Check the description of the video. I have links there for you. 🤙

dumb question but would you have to take that bracket off the old headlight and install it onto the new headlight?

Yes, you would need to swap the bracket over to the new headlight before installing it. The bracket is what holds and aligns the bumper to the headlights.

How long does the extension have to be? Is 8inch long enough?

You can get away with taking just part of the bumper loose and letting it hang off the car on one side. But truthfully it makes taking the headlight out much harder. In the end is easier to just take the whole bumper off to remove one headlight.
