Movies like this have taught me one thing, and that in a post-apocalyptic world, we expected to see a dead civilization with stone-age technology, you know, because of all the destruction. But instead, in the chaos, we actually thrive more than in peace, we actually have the motivation to develop better technology for survival. So, the lesson is: Doom the world, then we can get flying cars.

Humans are actually as hardy if not more unkillable than cockroaches. We THRIVE in periods of turmoil, it may not be the best time, we as a species may be miserable living in holes in the grounds, doing whatever drugs and drinking shitty alcohol we can find... but we will survive, if not find a way to thrive, as a species. It's hard coded in our DNA, we have literal organs and things specially designed to deal with the hard times. No other animal on the planet is capable of such adaptability to overcome things, and survive apocalypse scenarios.

I think the, "Oh that guy I like survived two massive explosions thousands of feet above the ground and killed a giant monster that saved all of humanity" deserves more than a slightly surprised smile.

Zhu did not have to sacrifice himself. They could have used their coats as insulators and Zhu might have had a chance to survive.

@@mreg2831 All the more reason to find another way. Just like I said, the Smuggler Boss Zhu could have used the coats of everyone to insulate the lever. Plus, his cybernetic arm also gives moderate resistant as seen in his first attempt. You add all that up and there's a pretty good chance that he'll survive. Maybe, at most, his cybernetic arm will be busted.

@@foofoo3344 the lever needed to be held up from what i can see here, even if he insulated it he would still have to stay behind to hold it up, he wouldve died regardless. Unless im wrong and it didnt need to be held up, but then what stopping him from dying to the creatures anyways

But couldn't he improvise and make a rope with his coat and somehow lift the lever using it , I mean it would be worth the shot and could use the items around the area to support it

Reminds me about a Zerg invasion in Starcraft universe. They too use monsters to attack and massive creatures to travel.
