Thanks for a great instructional video. Very well done. We have been researching the optimal packing, carrying and deployment of the Cleveland Hose Load (which goes by many names, you call it the Loop Load) for several years. We have practical solutions currently in use by many fire departments. We would love to share/exchange information with you for the benefit of all. Some key points we notice from your video: In the UK and US several firefighter fatalities have occured due to cables entangling the ff's, usually behind the SCBA tank. That gap can now be covered by an anti-tangle strap, a UK ff invented it after two of his ff comrades died at the Shirley Towers fire. Carrying the Horseshoe and Loop Load over the sensitive SCBA tank can be avoided. An ergonomically optimal, hands-free solution exists. The high rise packs shown require seven straps to be undone by gloved ff's in possibly low visibility conditions. A solution with one easy-to-pull opener exists. Your Horseshoe and Loop packs may look very similar in a low visibility stress situation. A red (fire) coloured Loop pack and a blue (water) coloured feeding line pack would solve that issue. No chance for mistakes. Such packs exist. Our experience is that when charging the Loop Load the nozzle should always be held by the ff to avoid it crossing under any of the loops and causing a water-constricting knot. We have many videos and material describing our research, results and conclusions for all to share. Just drop me line: bill@esttokyo.com Thanks and regards, Bill Dykes, EST-Emergency Services Technology Ltd.

In Toronto Canada we have just recently gone to this system, EXCEPT, they expect a crew of 2 to deploy this pack. It's ridiculous. We need a minimum 3, ideally 4, to set it up and out it into operation. Sounds like most US FD's are expecting 2 crews to gon up together. This is something we need to change in Toronto. Wait for 2nd apparatus to arrive and both crews go up together.

How are you getting 105 psi out of your standpipes? Are all of your high rises post 1993 standards?

Stretch a line and put out the fire... Don't make this simple task way too complicated.
