City of Glendale, AZ ⇨ AUTOCAR Heil PowerTrak Garbage Truck

(Glendale, Arizona) - Christian, and I went in search of what the City of Glendale offers for uncontained trash pickup. The City of Glendale runs a fleet of primarily Heil PowerTraks, mounted on WXLLs, and even an older International (known as "the tank" in a different department), with Peterbilt 320 and Autocar ACX.
This was the first crew we came across. Excellent, and efficient city employees. Thank you to them for the video!
One of my best works in terms of tri-pod work and quality. Really impressed on the final product.

I thought was a great way of picking up large items with a tractor fellowing the trash truck, plus saves the town on any of the works getting hurt with back problems and doctors bills for the city by doing it this way, I am from Kearny, N. J. and worked for Public Works Dept.

+Tom Hakim I definitely agree, and with the high heat out here it only makes even more sense to use this method. Appreciate the comment, and it's always great to read comments from those with industry experience!
Great footage!! That tractor is huge, and it has air conditioning! Interesting that they have 3 people for their crews. Awesome job!

San Jose has a similar system, only our tractors have Tink Case claws, the trucks are bigger Heils and Leaches, they a hopper on the back to facilitate easier loading, and there are tippers on the sides of the hopper to allow cart-dumping (if they're running behind, they'll send out a Labrie Automizer for the carts).

I thought Christian mentioned the first crew turned you guys down lol. It was nice footage, good job! Phoenix should really look into these Case tractors too, they sound pretty nice! You guys find any ASL's?

No, this crew was awesome! I thought they said ok, to us videoing but the truck ended up being full (the end of the video). I'd hope Phoenix looks into these tractors versus the Kubota. You can drive these anywhere and no trailer. Thank you for commenting! He did the next day.
