Adofo is popularly known in Ghana as "The Black Chinese". A bonafide Kwahu from "The Mountains", he is a nephew of Immortal Nana Ampadu. Yes, the video was shot in Eastern Nigeria. The Igbos LOOOVE Adofo.

chuks yes of course my brother igbo are always different from other tribes in Nigeria we welcome all with good aims and good minds
I bet this song is 100 times more popular in Nigeria than Ghana. Hated it so much growing up in the early 2000s cos it was played in every corner in Anambra State. How much I love it now.😂
Old days were sooo good. Anytime l think of old days when l was very young & following the city boys to Kwahu bc of their beautiful performance & today we dont get it anymore sa 1st, l bcome sad.
I was small when my senior brother plays this music. I called it Ghana's trade mark in Ghana music industry
Champion sounds from city boys band .. I wish you guys can run a live concert,Una fit shut down 02
This is when Ghanaian music brings us closer to our spiritual life, those days I was very young and I didn't even know that there is a country call ghana but we all love this music. I can tell you that Nigerians love and enjoy this music more than Ghanaians. When music is music not what we have right now.

the song always make me remember my life in onitsha.
Still playing 2024
I appreciate that almost all the comments are coming from mostly Eastern Nigeria, ...but I get find out J A Adofo and his City Boys Band comes from the highlands of the Kwahu mountains of Eastern Ghana. Indeed music has no boundaries! Great post.

Not true. Hey we're big stars in Ghana. He is still alive. Thus was my childhood music my parents played non stop
This is a Ghanaian song but from the comments it's sad Nigerian's look more supportive than Ghanaians, till date Ghanaians will never support their own
My landlord daughters sang all of this song like they are from Ghana
Love this music, brings back memories. I remember back then when I was in ABA, i was playing it on repeat and you can hear it nearly everywhere in ABA. Much love, no music again like the old school. I'm dancing 🕺🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿
Wow ... this is great
Oh, 😂music is a greatest reminder. As an Onitsha boy, this music reminds me sooooo much of my childhood... Upper Iweka, Iweka Road, markets, streets, pubs. Just everywhere. It's difficult to remember an Igbo musician that was more popular. Great African voices
Infact this old music teach great things of life, the world is at peace then. I love it.
I am Nigerian but I grew up with this song. My father's turn table is always agog with it
Master Adofo live long!!!
Good old days, younger generation will not understand how this song hits differently back in the days

When music was music, even though i don’t understand the language but i enjoy every bit of the music!
Wow! This old Ghanaian highlife song appear to have had its good time in Nigeria. I see lots of wonderful and memorable comments from our Nigerian brothers and sisters. I guess most of them may not have even understood the words since it is in Ghanaian language. But of course, great songs have no boundaries. Great memories indeed!!!!!

Listening to this song I feel like we are in another world Can’t stop remembering my Uncle each tym am hearing City Boys muzic 🇳🇬✊♥️🎶🎵
oh maaan, what great sounds. makes me feel almost a little bit less miserable !
Everything in our life though us about something.. Remembrance and memories are perfectly good for living..... Some people sees the then bad life in those Nana Ampadu and City Boys days... but it tell a whole story of it's own. I flash back through the years with 1 track.. I remember, virtually everything that transpired in my life and how people are made and some wasted. Above all, the music reminds me how we are bought up!!! I love the music...... Early 80s was sweet too.
Highlife at its best! guitar-band music is pristine, evergreen and everlasting! Kudos, Cityboys Band.
Great music from Ghana
This song is synonymous to Upper Iweka doings, kaikai joints.
