It's accelerating nice: 3.5s to 50 km/h, 9.5s to 90 km/h and to 100 km/h it's around 13s. For driving in city it accelerates better than many heavier cars with 1.5-2.0 engines

Wow that's brave, I get to about 90mph and mine starts to sound like I'm going back to the future

I've personally done 140 km/h in Citroën C1 (something like 155 km/h on the speedo) and it was surprisingly stable at that speed. I usually travel at 120 km/h GPS (130 km/h on the speedo) without any problems. However, I've added soundproofing for the floor, doors, hood and firewall and it's way better (quieter) right now. Unfortunately, windshield and windows are thin which doesn't help.

TheDragoknight i took 185 (gps) in a little downhill even i was in 5th too earlier. I will try to keep the 4th as long as it can but i think it will take 190 easy and i find it pretty safety

I tested my c1 in germany(i live in netherlands). I got it to 163. (In 5th gear, somesay it can go faster in 4th). It was pretty stable on 140km/h. But after that. You notice that isnt realy made for that.

Wow, I didn’t even know C1s could go that fast, to me the top speed of this car was around 150-160kmh (obviously, I never was able to test mine’s limits).

This kind of car is fun in the city up to 70 km/h and outside at about 100 km/h. In my opinion. I had a Yaris 1 and its about the same feeling.

Habe einen C1 aber ohne jegliches sonder Zubehör. Ich kurbele sogar die Fenster per Hand hoch und runter nach dem Motto wo niks ist kann niks kaputt gehen. Da im Auto kein Drehzahlmesser verbaut ist traute ich mir bisher keinen höheren geschwindigkeiten als 120 KMh zu aber das ändert sich nachdem ich in diesem Video die Drehzahl pro Geschwindigkeit beobachten konnte. Bin echt angetan von der doch gar nicht mal so schlechten Leistung dieses Fahrzeuges. Ich selber kann zu meinen kleinen C1nichts schlechtes sagen auch nicht über die Zuverlässigkeit zumal der Kleine mich schon bis zum Nordcup gebracht hat. Das einzige was bisher repariert werden musste war die Wasserpumpe diese wurde gegen den Nachfolgetyp ausgetauscht und kostete mir circa 500€ Reparatur. Die meisten wartungsarbeiten wie Bremsen Zündkerzen und Ölwechsel mache ich selber in meiner Garage was mir enorme Werkstattkosten erspart. Sollen nur alle Grinzen und Spotten geht mir am A.... vorbei. Für mich der ideale und sparsame Cityflitzer bei jedem Wetter individuell einsetzbar.

Die meisten die Grinsen und Spotten, haben selbst ne Kiste oder teils gar kein Auto. Oder noch besser ne geleaste S Klasse mit 500.000km :D

When my middleclass station wagen needed a service I borrowed my brother's C1 for about a week! It was so much fun! I loved it! Small cars make you feel the road like it is 1970!

Must've been really good weather. My 2010 107 was struggling to keep course, at 50-65 mph, due to crosswind on the M1 and M25 in the UK. It was during a recent storm, but I remember my old 1.8 2005 Toyota avensis never did that. I wouldn't dare taking the 107 above 80-85mph.

100? It would take the c1 at least an hour to accelerate to 100mph. Have you stripped it of excess weight, driving on low fuel and improved downforce and stiffer suspension? 👀

@@eLnof It was downhill, starting at the top of the hill around 85-90 and by the bottom, the speed is just over 100. So probably only actually hitting around 92mph tbh because you know how the speedos aren't too accurate. I did it on Poulner Hill, Ringwood if you want to Google maps it.

Next time do it in 4th gear, it will be faster 😉 also switch off the a/c

aaand a typical BMW driver at 8:02...

De acuerdo que es una prueba de velocidad máxima y no de aceleración pura, pero cambiar a 4500 rpm ese motor cuando se buscan máximas prestaciones es un desperdicio. Esa bombita la puedes subir a 6000 rpm sin problemas y suena que es una delicia. Mi motor de 1.0 l. preferido. Una joyita...:)

is it normal thing for the rev counter needle to jump up a bit higher when I press the clutch pedal to change up a gear?? just noticed that fact in my car because I never looked at the rev counter before.

Actually it was stable. At certain points the Autobahn was very bumpy.

at 145 this thing is almost airborn and scary to manuver i think about adding a wing or something

SO BASICALLY (and approximatively) first gear can go up to 54kmh (3,55:1) second gear can go up to 100kmh (1,91:1) third gear can go up to 165kmh (1,16:1) fourth gear can go up to 197kmh (0,97:1) fifth gear can go up to 239kmh (0,80:1)

ja, mit eigenem klappts wohl nicht aber mit denen von Stadtmobil kann man 60 mit erstem Gang schaffen und es ist leicht ...

I have a similar problem, the Speedo marks 50km/hour and the flashing speed indicators in the villages around here mark 44 😐

You made everything wrong. The gear shift on this engine should have been over 6000 rpm, not 5000. The maximum speed has to be reached in 4 gear,not 5.

der wagen verbraucht bei entsprechender fahrweise unter 4 Liter.... 20€ steuern im jahr... eine tankfüllung reicht für über 900km. billiger gehts kaum. fährt sich wie ein go kart - im positiven sinne.

Mit Navi gemessen macht mein C1 165. Aber auch nur bei gutem, trockenen Wetter. Mein Tacho zeigt dann aber teils bis zu 180 an. Also Nadel am oberen Anschlag. Die Tachos gehen bei diesen C1, Aygo und 107 alle mächtig vor.

na.. 160+ für ne 1 liter Maschine und nicht so laut ist doch recht gut finde ich. Geht gut das Teil

@ General Saufenberg Den ALTEN C1 (Gebaut von 2005 bis 2014 mit den beiden Facelifts 2009-2012 und 2012-2014 ) gabs leider nicht mit dem Faltdach. Erst der NEUE C1 (von 2014 bis Heute) gibt's mit dem Faltdach . Der neue EIN LITER Motor hat 69 PS und der 1,2 Liter PSA 3Zylinder sogar 82 PS . Jetzt soll es den EIN LITER Toyota Motor sogar mit 73 PS geben , hab beim Toyota Händler einen AYGO gesehn der diese Angabe im Preisschild hatte :-D

these speed for this car would clean the engine up real good dem i got the same car when i drove 140 i found it getting a bit wobbly bit scared to go past that speed :P

der neue 1.0 3 Zylinder im C1 und Peugeot 108 mit den 69PS ist echt schlecht, ab einer gewissen Drehzahl fängt der Motor selbst unter Volllast an ungleichmäßig zu ziehen um dich zum Hochschalten zu bewegen.... so bei 3.500-4.000 Umdrehungen, wenn man auf dem Gas bleibt passiert nicht viel, aber wenn man zwei dreimal vom Gas geht und wieder voll drauftritt dann geht er sauber weiter bis in den Begrenzer, also wer sich das ausgedacht hat gehört geschlagen

how to break your gearbox: step 1: drive off in gear one and speed up to about 30 step 2: shift to gear 2 and take your foot of the clutch too quick. step 3. dont shift into gear 3 before getting on the highway. step 4: shift into gear 3 and take your foot of the clutch quickly again. step 5: shift in to gear 4 when you’re doing 100 step 6: shift into gear 5 when you’re doing 120 and 5000rpm. you’re welcome!!!
