Actually reading this it might make a good song.

I needed this song while I was going through school. I have ADHD and a small inability to pull myself out of fantasy (don't worry, I can disconcern a video game from real life). These two things made me real easy to bully. It wasn't until my grandfather died back in middle school that I finally snapped a threatened the lives of the ones picking on me. After an officer showed up and found out that not only was I safe but found out it was a result of both bullying and not speaking out did I finally get help. I don't want to think about what I might have been if it wasn't for that officer.

This song speaks volumes to me. I was bullied relentlessly in school, and struggled with mental health issues and, on occasion, suicidal thoughts as a result. Everything changed for me in high school. I had enough, and started doing MMA. I wanted it to be an unknown fact, but somehow, word got out, and the people that once bullied me started respecting me. Perhaps they'd figured out that I was, metaphorically speaking, a ticking time bomb waiting to explode on them and teach them a lesson. To this very day, those same kids still respect me, and even possibly fear me.

That's horrible that the 8 year old did that to himself very very upsetting it's very sad that people get bullied the world is a sad place sometimes! What do you mean “this generation.” popular music over all time has been just good sounding without much meaning. Not every song has to make you contemplate life. There is a place for both. I was graced with this song on my spotify recommendation, my god the emotions, I was tearing up each and every time I listened to it ( this after listening to it ten times in a row), the lyrics resonate with my past and who I am in such a way that I swear I could see what you must have gone through to have written such a masterpiece, and if it isn’t clear yet, I absolutely live for this song!!!

Bullies are the only true cowards of the world. As someone who has been bullied and as a result has had suicidal thoughts since I was like 9, bullies are really some of the lowest scum on earth. There never was and never will be an exuse to degrade others just so you can feel better about yourself

This hits me hard. Bullying sucks. As a person that has gone through bullying from school to college, this song gives me life.

so I have a little bit of a bullying problem and my feelings meaning to no one when in reality, I want to help and have friends. This song is helping me through that situation, thank you dearly!

I love the reference to “The Scarlet Letter” to show the ostracism happening to people being scrutinized and oppressed by both the bully and society. No adultery involved, but the ostracization stands.

Citizen Soldier Official yeah I like to interpret the meaning and message behind the music I listen to. If I spot references I also like that. It’s really witty to mix references into music, and a lot of the newer music I’ve seen has forgotten roots such as this. So, to me, you guys are a group of virtuosos. Keep up the good work :) I love having things to interpret
