I received the grey version yesterday (NY0120-01E). This thing is actually incredible. I have a 7.75" wrist and consider it to be a perfect fit. The bezel actually works underwater unlike another Citizen I have (took it for a three hour swim). Lovely vintage look, great watch. I paid $299 Australian for it which is a bargain.

I bought the blue dial NY0129 on bracelet on the special invite from Amazon for $199.00 . Initially I was kind of underwhelmed lol 😂 but after sizing the bracelet I fell in love with this watch . I love the heft and wrist presence. Like you I’m surprised this watch isn’t getting that much attention as I was expecting to see more KZread reviews. The dial on the watch is exceptional. The bracelet and divers extension are awesome and definitely compares to the Seiko SKX. I own the SKX009 and though I wouldn’t say it’s a better watch than my SKX009 I’d definitely say it’s equally as good and a outstanding new Citizens ISO rated diver 👍🏻

I had a similar experience, not blown away, but it has also grown on me. I'm also surprised it hasn't gotten more attention - watch nerds are fickle creatures :P

Why worry about the bezel lining up with the dial? It's used in conjunction with the minute hand.

Except for the hand set... no issues. Although I do like other Citizens better... Citizen Promaster Diver Eco Drive Black Dial Men's Titanium Watch BN0200-56E Usually runs around $450 ish retail, but you can find it for less if you look.

I LOVE mine. The dial is gorgeous. The specs are amazing. Initial negative... It's thick. But I know why. Dive with it. That grippy bezel is perfect in its natural habitat (not under a shirt sleeve, but over a wetsuit)

For sure, these are underrated, and it is an ISO certified dive watch!

I'd rather a Seiko king Samurai or king turtle and get sapphire/ceramic for $320-$350. For an automatic Citizen diver I like the ny-0140, ny-0156 which has a sapphire crystal and can be found around $300-350

Fair! The King Samurai and King Turtle are excellent watches! That Citizen ny-0156 looks cool!

You can buy a softer strap from citizen directly for about $30. The ones off the fugu are significantly better than the stock ones on these and the eco-drive divers.

i had bad experience with this watch, it's my first Citizen and it's the only watch i had to send for warranty claim due to malfunctioning. it spend more time on the workshop than on my wrist since I bought it i guess the old 8204 movement is the culprit here

I have no issues with the 8204. Mine works perfect in my Promaster NY0085 Diver, +/- 2 Seconds a week (!)

Good price tag but what the hell with the 50mm lug to lug and 14 thickness 😅Thanks for the review!

I have this watch. When I measured it with my calipers and saw it was indeed 50mm lug/lug x 14mm thick I was surprised as it does not wear big at all.

Fair enough! One thing that Seiko gets right is shorter lug to lug.

The thing I really don’t like and for me it’s a showstopper is the Mercedes hands. Citizen seems to be adding them to a lot of their watches lately.

Yeah, minute hand is too short, and I don't like Mercedes that much either.

Recently bought the blue version with the bracelet on an "invite only" deal from Amazon for $200. It just hasn't wowed me. Trying to decide whether to keep or return. The price was awesome, especially on the bracelet.

@@davidsparling3505 my bezel lines up perfectly. I’m still really loving this new citizens diver and the bracelet is outstanding. To me has a very 62MAS vibe to it but is often mentioned as a Seiko SKX alternative or replacement.

That minute hand is insanely short. That would drive me crazy.

I know the vintage Challenge divers also had a Mercedes handset, but God, do I hate them. I wish they would have went with something else on this watch.
