You hear this kind of story a lot when it comes to Youth. It’s a shame Citizen has strayed away from this style of music however La dispute said it best during one of their live performances of Andria. Feelings change over time and it’s okay to revisit this music, just don’t let it keep you in that dark state of mind, for lack of better words. I been following Citizen since 2012 and had no idea they did this tour. Youth was one of the albums on constant rotation back then. How did I miss this? 😢

Mat is definitely a high caliber frontman. He stays fit and just has that natural talent. Nobody else can do what he does nor can sound like him. He’s one in a million.
Damn I missed this show when it was in California. Youth is an amazing album and it would have been sick to hear the album live. I hope they play it again some day, but for now, this video will be treasured.

No, this footage was exclusively Citizen through a paid streaming service.
I've watched this several times because the audio is so good! But on each new watch the audience makes me cringe more and more. Several people there are so desperate to be recognized and draw attention to themselves.

@@Hockeyjew702 At the beginning when he starts talking you can just hear subtle correction of pitch that isn't natural. It makes him sound sort of synthetic and like a robot. It's subtle but any sound engineer or producer would hear it immediately. Most bands use this technology these days, it's extremely common.
