6:24 I think it's the electricity and water usage is different between the two. Community School uses less water and electricity.

9:25 All of those new leisure buildings (Tropical Garden, Floating Café and the Fishing Island) are now in the game and you don't need the DLC to have them.

This is such a fun DLC! Though wow those early Green Cities buildings put some strain on your budding young city if you try to get them up early. Especially the Recycling centre ... but, no landfill! It's just too tempting XD

I think that's actually the biggest improvement to the game in this update. Also the recycling monument is a very useful thing as you can build one in the city center.

Something I'd bee interested in seeing is putting the metro overhaul mod track in place of the monorails, allowing for the overhead railway setup like in cities like New York or Chicago.

This thing happening to me is very strange, I usually play the game for a good few weeks and then I abandon it, and after a little while I come back to it. Every time I get back to the game there will be a DLC released, on the EXACT DATE and I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THE DLC BEFORE, it's been happening since mass transit. Just perfectly on time.

Oh god, not another DLC that I'd really make use of... I've had to hide my PC because I lost so much sleep after installing Mass Transit and then completely reworking my public transport network. I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day so I could find a window where I could really properly play this game :(

One of the games I liked to play long time ago was Emergency series where your job was sending fire engines, ambulances and police to some events that were happening in your town. I wish Cities Skylines have something like that because having Fire Station for example just to deal with fires is kinda boring. There should be other things like car accidents where fire truck, ambulance and police is sent.

Finally! Now I know that the green cities DLC has Eco-Friendly Water Outlets. Thank You!

Can't wait to download it. Looks like top quality dlc

Per student, they use slightly more water and power. Their main upside is the catch area, allowing you to use less of them.

Biofuel busses based on palmoil give out 3 times MORE CO2 than a bus on normal diesel....

The thing is CO2 that comes from plants ect, doesn't add more CO2 to the atmosphere campared to diesel. But it the 3 times more CO2 is kinda bad, biofuel from recycled food is better, but expensive too get going. Have a nice day foward.

I think the option to hide the UI icons is game-changing - a very welcomed improvement!

Me too. No we will switch to this new DLC. Sipatea City hit problems and it's usually a much better idea to start a new city with a new DLC :-)

Hmm. I need to get back into C:S but I might need a new PC for the asset dumpfest if I get the newer DLCs. Totally gona dig this road editing for now, but let me tell you, eco-fascism will be coming in my next city! I've lived in cities that run buses 100% biodiesel, from soybeans or cooking oil, they were just converted engines, so as loud as common Diesel ones, but running hotter if I'm not mistaken! But I guess they have little to no sulfur to cause acid rain! Newer, biodiesel only engines might be better in the future though!

Simple straight forward review of the new DLC- why can't CO produce something like this? All looking good- lots of nice new touches- the road editor is impressive!

The downtowns are finna be dope

I bet that road type what people would make first would will be all sorts of cobblestone roads

The IT buildings appearance doesn't really match the amount of workforce. You've got massive skyscrapers that could probably house dozens if not hundreds of people requiring.... 9 workers?

That's probably down to the KPIs we IT people have to deal with these days. A skyscraper that size full of servers would now only need nine people to maintain them!

Hi Mr Biffa... I'm very grateful for all your work on CS. And what happened to incinerators with Green Cities DLC... in seems that they disappeared with Green Cities DLC... Am I right?

Geothermal power plant is 3x more expensive per megawatt than other options.

I hate those personal electric transport chairs. Its stupid to see them whoosh down the highway at 120 km/h when you just know in reality they'd be too unstable for anything more than 40

Yup. I'm a train driver and the arm faces away from the track. Same for UK or Continental. I.e. The one in your vid is on the wrong side of the track [it's a UK one] For 'right hand drive', the arm should be the other way round.

Really happy about proper road editing in the editor.

Me too. I've longed for certain types of roads that would normally require hours of fiddling with ploppable asphalt and drawing lines and I'm hoping this will ease the process for me.

So when you edit the roads, does it save over the existing asset or can you save it as a new one?

Come on future cities dlc, come on. I need me a hover car.

I wish they would fix the way buildings spawn the same over and over again. Even with tons of assets i still have this issue and it's frustrating to say the least

All they would have to do is program in a somewhat small change that would make it so building A doesn't spawn until B-Z spawned

Yeah it wouldn't be the easiest but considering the game has been out for 3 years it should have been fixed a long time ago. For a full time developer it wouldn't be that hard to implement a fix for it. I've dabbled in programming and it's really not as hard as it seems

Lol, they are not FORCING you to send them money for a product...which is still obviously not stealing ;-)

Some of the benefits you couldn't see was lower electricity and water consumption compared to their normal versions

So Soylent Green is actually Soy and Lentils... who knew?

So in one sentence, "Green Cities DLC has bring Hipsterville to town... ??? cool. Not sure if worth the money...

this looks really good, its just a shame I cant play the game , I don't have a system to play it ... but thanks for the info.. I and I look forward to you playing this for those who cant :)

Karen if it you have 32 bytes system you can upgrade it to 64 bytes quite easily if you have a USB drive

does green cities dlc has also a mass transit what i mean is the mass transit dlc has also a natural disaster from natural disaster dlc

The community school allows people to become educated adults, while the elementary school only educates children and then you require a high school and then a college.

Perhaps a revival for (New) SipATea City to (New) SipAGreenTea City? 🤣

Which is better Mass Transit or Green Cities

The differences between the schools are how "Green" they are. They use less water and power.
