I love the sneak peek at reviewing city flags all over the world. That Cyprus flag is one great example, and there was the Spanish flag being a bit obscured with text. I would love if you went through for example North Europe in one video. Would be great contrast.

People were praising the Lincoln, Nebraska flag on reddit. But you really got it, it looks good on a computer screens.

God you were right about the two shades of blue thing, I mean that's bad design by vexillological standards. But when your flags are seals on a bed sheet or worse I guess you can't really see it like that

The Grand Rapids banner, that red thing is called La Grande Vitesse, or the locals popularly refer it as “The Calder.” It’s been in the city for 5 decades, and is one of the cities’ “prized possessions.”

I’m from Mass, and I’ve always hated and wanted to redesign the flag of Boston. Excited to see you roast it.

I conducted VAKC’s municipal flag survey in 2018. There were a lot of poorly rated ones, ones with trees. Learned a lot about how little city governments are typically aware of their flags. Happy KC finally changed theirs, and excited to spread some vexillological awareness in the PNW! :)

The Grand Rapids banner is supposed to show the Grand River (the squiggly part) and the Calder (the weird red thing), a sculpture some guy made and don’t know what it’s for. The yellow is probably something about the sun idk

I'm from the Akron area and have never actually seen that flag. I guess no one is very proud of that. Also your pronunciation of Akron kills me.

Some elaboration on why the Chicago flag is so widely used here, it's largely due to the versatility of the simple design while still being recognizable. Those red six pointed stars are pretty distinct looking, yet they're pretty easy to draw, so you see the incorporation of blue stripes and red stars used in a whole lot of things, particularly sports jerseys and murals or graffiti. For example, the Chicago Cubs baseball team had an alternate jersey that used a ball cap with a letter C for Cubs and a red star in the middle of it. It's not technically the whole Chicago flag, but just the one red star looks really cool and it's distinctly a Chicago thing.

Some of these flags are really cool, I like that people were able to make original and nice-looking flags even though there are tonnes of small cities in US and outside, and many countries, so you have to come up with something more original than some tricolor or a seal on a blue background to stand out. Portland and Phonix are the best)
