Mr. Karter Understand no, you can either play live or copy paste notes to sequence - sorry... it's not perfect but the best possible to my knowledge.... it's a hack after all....

thanks for this great presentation.. is it possible to program scales on it, for example the Harmonic E minor scale? I'm trying to search online to understand what scales are available on it..

thank you for the compliment. on this template there are C major, chromatic and blues scales. You could get an A minor quite easily just by shifting the notes around the C major scale as it's the same notes just starting with A instead of C. Another option is to sample the note pitched up or down (i.e. not C4 but rather E4 etc) based on the transposition you wanted. It would be quite easy to create E minor with this template if novation had a feature that lets you copy a drum track individually and not as a pair, but they don't yet as of version 1.4. You could reprogram the scale like I did note by note but that would be quite tedious. Did you see the clip with the Lemur template? Check out the channel for more info

I imagine that it's not a big deal shifting C major with A minor as long as it has to do with a pentatonic scale. The harmonic E minor would be this: E F# G A B C D# So if I can program this note by note would be great, as you mentioned above. The clip with Lemur Template? Where I can find it? I will try to check it now. Thanks again

Re the mixer - not that I know but just use 5 fingers to mute the other tracks, no?

You cant record your Drum 2 performance right? or am I missing something?, I had to upload pre-pitched samples in C minor to the Drum "patches" so I could play and record,, the downside is that I only have two different instruments in only one scale because of the 64 patches constraint

If u hold any key in volume edit mode and chain some patterns including the one with the notes..u can trick the circuit to stay on the selected pattern while the rest (chained) are playing and/or recording...

I have the .syx file, but I'm a bit confused how to apply it to my circuit using the web interface. It says the syx file is invalid. Is there something I'm missing?

kavika13 hey - probably - many people have successfully used this file and I haven’t really changed it. I also retested it in every new OS. It should work.

Oh I see. It's the "upload .syx" that doesn't work. If you click the button on the lower-right (where it mentions the session version) that you can replace it.

Unfortunately the Novation Circuit currently does not accept MIDI IN for playing melodies with samples. You indeed can do that for the 2 synth sounds, but not for the 4 sample tracks. Maybe in a future version, but for now this is as good as it gets
