Tiffany! Thank you for this great video. I am an advanced beginner and have done quite a few of your projects. I am visiting my aunt who has crocheted for 50 years plus, and I shared how I have been so inspired by your tutorials. We just watched this video, and she was so excited to learn a new trick from you. Hiding the beginning chain 3 is genius! Thank you again for sharing your tips and encouragement.

I did this with t-shirt yarn and so it was a little more difficult, but I really liked being able to make a square from a circle. I'm using the finished product as pads for porch chairs. Of course, my squares are a little rough considering I was using uneven yarn and thick yarn at that! 🔆😊

Hi I just love your channel. I am in South Africa and it’s so frustrating for me as the yarn we can buy here does not have weights on the wool bands, it just lists if it’s double knitting or chunky and the yards I wish we could get Bernat baby blanket wool here I’ve used it before my friend came out from American and bought me some all your videos are so clear thank you. If I was to stop growing my circle at round 2, to start the square would I just do the same steps when you do the square but reduce the amount of stitches round? I don’t want huge squares, I’m using granny squares for a temperature blanket and trying to figure what to do as I don’t want them massive but this is the only video i could find with talking through and US terms (still pretty new to crochet been doing it since September 23 and first time attempting a granny square 😂 I started with making making others things and even though I’m UK I learnt to crochet with US terms) xx

Hi Kim! I'm so glad you started crocheting! Welcome to the community! You are spot on. If you would like to make a smaller circle then turn it into a square you will just take the number of stitches you have in the circle and need to divide it by 4 (for the 4 corners). As long as you have 4 corner stitches worked around your circle you are good! Then just continue to grow the number of stitches between corners for each round. I hope this helps! HAVE FUN and GOODLUCK! 😊❤️🧶
