I was 16 in 1987 and loved every minute of it. From the fashion to the music it was all awesome. Everyone in this video reminds of the people I use to hang out with in high school. I would so go back and do it all over again.

The days of my life when I was young, excited and full of life....now I look back through dewy eyes remembering the clubs, parties, people and places where we danced to fantastic 80s pop into the early hours.....was the best decade to come to age in by far....I pity those who weren't there!

All of us who were fortunate enough to be in that scene are all now in our 50’s.......where did the time go!?!?

You have to listen to this video with headphones (not earphones) at loud volume and high bass to really appreciate it. Imagine yourself in this environment and you'll be transported in time to what the 80s were all about.

To not have multitudes of information at your fingertips was a monumentally different way of life. Edit PS...and most of us would probably agree life was also much better. At least in a great many ways.

I'm 51 now and i really like watching these clips because they remind me of " THAT TIME" in history when PEOPLE CAME TO A CLUB TO ACTUALLY DANCE .... and we LITERALLY DANCED ALL NIGHT BACK THEN!!! Like .... from the time we got there til closing at like 5 am, 6am ,7am or LATER ( depending on which club you went to and what YEAR) I first started at Club Sensations 1982 to about 85, then Club Zanzibar 86 to 91 ( both in newark NJ) ,just once at THE PARADISE GARAGE Aug. of 1987 ( had i known how it was i probably would have gone more) and lastly Club SHELTER , NYC 91 to 96 ( regularly) and then off and on as TIMES started to change ... you started hearing of MORE & MORE violence in and around the clubs and after AIDS & 9/11 .... it just wasn't the same. HECK !!! AFTER PARADISE GARAGE CLOSED ... that was half the party crowd in NYC ALONE ... that had stopped going out. I went out here and there after but .... i can't type anymore, sorry 😢😢😭😭

Those were truly the days and it was all about the music, fashion, the hair, make up and mostly importantly FUN!! We are now 57 years old and now I think our 40th reunion should be '80s themed! Lol.

This was a truly special time to be alive!! I was like 10-11 just putting down toys and too young to follow into dance parties then. We used to call the spiky haired dancers Mods and I thought them the coolest. New wave and freestyle dance music was hot in 86-87 and i'd learn those dance moves at family parties. If only a time machine could transport a 17 yr old version of me over there; and pick me up end of Summer 87.

We were the luckiest kids in the world and didn’t realize how great it was. I see so many familiar faces and early crushes 😂 My hope is everyone that was a part of this place and time is prospering or at least carrying these fond memories with them. Peace to ALL ❤

Wow..one of my favorite song in our 80th...the best century ever. 80th the eighties changed the world. I love the 80th and their great, great music. Everything was different, all was an experience, the music, our style and our dance moves. All was wonderful unique. Everybody danced his own style, there were no clones. I miss this century very much. So enjoy with me this old videos. I 💓it.

It was like the 80s dance songs, the people got down and weren't posing. Girls on Film (night mix) is eons away from the ersatz crap that is rock dance music today - I won't deign to address pop post-2005.

These are so cool. The dude with the Mohican is so fu^^^ cool. The guy at 124 is a smooth dancer. I was a little too young to get into the clubs at that time, but i remember them on the streets and remember dressing myself for it. Thanks for uploading :)
