    That's neat. Do they use a gimbal to do those moves?

  • @CamberFilmSchool

    @CamberFilmSchool

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, probably a gimbal or steadycam (or even a crane) in most of the shots where the camera is moving really far. Otherwise it could just be a camera on a slider if it's not a really far distance that the camera has to move.

    I just make a list of interesting things I notice while watching movies and then look for those same things in other films to see if it’s a common technique. As far as short films, just ignore people who don’t take you seriously and do it. And you’ll probably hate what you make at first, but just try to learn what you could have done better and apply that to the next one.

    Camera movement is something I often wonder about, in terms of what looks good and when it's appropriate. Sometimes I don't have the idea of vision of the movement ahead of time. Although I understand it's an art in itself. Great stuff as always bud!

    My favourite topic 😍 .. camera movements. Yess .. it is so powerful, even a slight movement if correctly done can bring so much impact to the shot, hence story and emotions. And if used too much can be very destructing. .. like i just saw American Crime Story - People vs OJ Simpson... where as an audience i feltvthe canera was moving too much and all the time hense was distracting me and giving me an headache. Great topic covered Camber 🤟

    I get a very amateur question. Is it OK to zoom in or out with a zoom lens? I know the Vertigo effect, which uses a combination of zoom and camera movement, but apart from that is it seen amateur to zoom in a scene?
