..i mean i love this video as a screensaver on desk, but the frame rate & compression makes it so choppy maybe im spoiled by higher frame rates today, its rough because this is the best scenic 21:9 video on youtube by far.

III the Bitrate (Detail) is bad. If you Pause the Video, Its blury and full of artifacts. It is okish but it could be so much better.

lol at all of your comments only thing ruining the video is your subpar bandwidth and/or decoder sorry his video is 500+megs with a 18.5Mbps level 4 encode. its not the compression. youtube has resized the video to a improper non-native to any device, size. its 29.97/30 fps so stutter going to happen on non multiples of that refresh. (which is why I dont get why people get 70/75/100hz monitors...)

Because the bitrate is higher

..to be fair, looks like dropping the resolution in youtube settings to 1080p or 1440p max, gives at least the smooth 29 FPS..it must be this older work pc can't run 4K smooth..so my bad still would love 60 FPS tho'

It's not a colour scheme it just has saturation boosted on the blues and greens. Also it looks like the dark tones were lightened (so the darkest colour was offset from complete black to slightly lighter)

@Minili Oni i can answer that for you. first, you need a 2080ti if you want a real experience with 4k, and last but not least a 2080ti costs way too much. at this point, would rather wait for the new AMD cards or the new Nvidia if you need G-sync for your display.

Looks great on an iPhone 11

i have a 21:9 1080 monitor. why does it make a drastic difference in quality when i put it to 4k. Like on regualar 1080p (my monitors resolution) it looks really bad but when i switch it to 4k the quality goes up a lot. Any ideas?

All of you complaining about KZread's compression, you're wrong. There are plenty of videos that shows KZread's compression is not a problem. The problem here is quite certainly in the source material, not youtube's compression.
