In this Cinema 4D quick tip we're going to see how in a couple of clicks we can get really unique, random and odd sculptures. The updated cloth/soft body engine in c4d is much more powerful and allows us to push these bizarre deformations to an interesting place. Feel free to experiment with the values, every digits makes a difference, but the key thing here is using the balloon option with the plastic deformation options.

    how are you keeping the UVs?

  • @NewPlastic

    @NewPlastic

    The object is UV unwrapped and the textures are sticking to the UVs, so they stretch with the deformities

    okay fair, question. i tried doing something similar with a default sphere. The UVs were however all crazy. So I guess that because I have to UV unwrap a the default sphere before? @@NewPlastic

    @@Willopo100 Yup you should UV Unwrap it so that you textures spreads all around it in a decent way, then when you deform it it'll keep that same spread.
