My grandfather was professional baseball player. Fred Dwight Whitfield (January 7, 1938 - January 31, 2013) was an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, he appeared in the Major Leagues from 1962 to 1970, primarily for the Cleveland Indians and also for with the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Montreal Expos. Nicknamed "Wingy" for his unique throwing motion, he threw and batted left-handed, stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 190 pounds (86 kg).

This was such a great video. There is nothing like family time, Jordan. My Grandparents have passed on, so times like these bring back memories for me. My Grandpa and I would attend Braves games together when I was growing up. He was huge baseball fan as well. He was a pitcher for the University of Georgia from 1932-36. My Brother lives in Columbus, Ohio, as well.

Your grandfather went to his first Reds game in 1938, and here he is going to a Reds game in 2021. That is awesome.

I'm a diehard Cubs fan, but I'm really rooting for the Reds to make the playoffs this year. We love going to Great American for the Cubs/Reds series. We rent an AirBNB in OTR and ride the train down to the park. Cincy is one of our most favorite cities. The Pirates Stadium is amazing! Our favorite though, is Wrigley. What an amazing memory you are making with your Grandpa. Your grandpa said "Harry Caray" after Take Me Out To The Ballgame, love it!!!I love how the MLB honors our Veterans and still sing God Bless America. I hope you went with the Castellanos shirt. Nick is amazing. He was a Cub for about 2 seconds :)

Hey Jordan, thanks for another stadium vlog, if you are a baseball fan or played as a kid you loved or a least respected the great red machine. Some of the best players to take the field, and the “great American ball park” is beautiful with the statues, pictures and memorabilia from past champs and those championships. My step daughter and family recently moved to Cincinnati, and went to a reds game and payed just $5 bucks for great seats and parked for another $5 bucks to park. We’re Braves fans and you can’t even go the bathroom at the Braves park for less than $50 bucks. Great video of the game, thanks!

WOW I remember going to watch "The Big Red Machine" play. I went to every home game from the time I was 6 years old until I was in my thirties. Being from Nky, I lived in socal for four years. My dad visited and wanted to visit the Bob's big boy in burbank. Gotta love my dad, he stopped at the Frisch's on the way to CVG and asked for about 30 packets of tartar sauce. He had them stashed in his jacket (surprised he got though security) so that we could order plain sandwiches and be able to have our Frisch's big boys in CA!!

Jordan, I lived in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus (now in Westerville) and have always been a Reds fan. I lived in Cincinnati at the time Pete Rose broke his all time hits....such a thrill. I'm am sure that with family in Ohio that you'll return now and then. But, I personally want to thank you for the wonderful tour of The Great American Ballpark. I've not been there yet (ahh the days of Riverfront) but after seeing your video you can be sure I'll be visiting Cincinnati for a Reds game & maybe visit some old friends.

What a great family day Jordan. The stadium has so much character and I loved all the statues. Have you ever been to North Bend or Cleves ( 5-10 miles) to the west of Cincinnati? That's where my dad's family is from. I think I wrote to you how they used to farm and live in the Presidents Harrison farm, "The Point". You know what would be a great birthday or Christmas present for your grandpa? If you got one of the photo frames with two slots and took that thumbnail picture of the three of you for one and a close up of your brick for the other. I think he would love it. I just went my first Red's game today vs the Cardnels. My company picnic was there today we were at the party barn on right field a little past first base. I seen the status that you vloged and went through the main gift shop. The hall of fame was closed. We pretty much watched the whole game. It was a great experience I want to go back again. Callie (hopefully I spelled that correctly?) is a pretty puppy and very friendly. Jah has a new friend. Hopefully he likes bigger dogs when she gets full grown?! Your sister and you can be twins (are you?). Funny, "Pays to be old." Lol Not a Reds fan, but it is the best stadium you've showed. Better my locals Nats (Camden Yards been open for years and driven past it. But never been. Heard that its voted top 5 baseball stadiums). Last time I went to a ball game in Baltimore was when they were at Memorial stadium. That place sucked. So did the parking.

Awesome! I remember going to my first baseball game ever at Riverfront when I was a little kid and Eric Davis played as I grew up in Kentucky. Now I live in Michigan and go to Tigers games. Great video! You should come to Comerica Park it is really beautiful as well.

Several years ago I was able to obtain tickets to see the STL Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Mind you, none of us are sports fans, but we went, had a ball (pun intended 😜), and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Never been to a game before then, and none since, but it was our time together and to experience something that we never did before. Glad to see you enjoy yourself with family. I totally thought that was your mom at first! Not to say your sister looks old, but that your mom looks young!
