Looks like I'm watching this 4 years later then when you originally made this video and I did the exact same thing as you did the 1st time. But as you did I re did the journal again follow your strict instructions and laugh along the way. I really enjoy your videos.💗Each time I do it I say the same words you say.... front to back.. Back down front up ... Front pages in. 😁
Did the same thing first try. You have made the binding so much clearer. Thanks.
Good morning. Now I can drink my coffee ☕️. Oh !punching today! Exciting! Who are we punching? Oh , it’s paper. That is exciting too.
I love how you own up to your mistakes and continue to still teach us the proper way. Your sense of humour is wonderful. Keep up the great vi does.
I love my Cinch binder! The most important paper in my whole craft room is the little yellow sticky note with my binding, pages instructions!! I have to review it everytime. Glad to see it's a brain buster for others too. When I decorate, I love to tie ribbon, lace and charms to the binding. Thanks for showing us how fun they turn out. 💕 it is a great sense of accomplishment! 😊 love you
Sweet enabling! There should be a disclaimer on this video that you will be tempted to buy a cinch after watching this lol. Never thought I needed one of these magical machines but now I am contemplating it after seeing your creations! TFS, Gayle, this was fabulous!
I have the Cinch but was upset that i could not make it work correctly. After watching you I will try it again with the kit to improve my skills. Thank you!!
Oh my. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I bought a cinch 4 years ago when I found one on clearance really cheap!! Tried making a journal - total fail. Couldn't wrap my head around how to put in together so it was correct - even watched a couple videos and still got it wrong. After watching yours I understand where I was going wrong!! Going to haul that unfinished journal out and try again!
THe win for me was when you realized you succeeded!! I was up at midnight last night. And i too couldnt close. I had the cover right but i put the back pages in first vs the front pages in first. So when i get home tonight, I will redo. Thank you.
No you are right! Hurts my brain doing it too😮!!!❤
These journals are lovely Gayle. xxx
OMG, I am so grateful that I ran up on your tutorial... I got myself a Cinch from a friend to just play around with and well you are awesome... Thank you for teaching me through your mistake... and Lord willing and the creek don't rise... brought back some memories for me. Again thank you
Gayle thank you for showing us how to use the Cinch- mine’s coming out of storage soon. I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery this morning and your video was the first thing I saw after arriving in my room. So nice to have a familiar, friendly voice! Tyfs

Aw, wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, Terry! Take care! ❤️
Oh Gayle, you just brightened my day, you’re brilliant 😊😍🌸
You are on a roll getting all the projects moving along!!! Can't wait to see the decorating part!!!
There are many videos on you tube walking you through the process. You made this look like work!!!! I love you Gayle but you needed to research this again. I go through my saved video everytime I want to use the cinch because I too forget how to do the different steps. I showed my girlfriend the different ways to use the wire binding using 3 holes on up.... and doing lots of different papers, tags, envelopes etc.....The reason for putting your pages on first then the front cover, back cover is so when your done and flip the back cover over it locks the wires to the back. Love you girlfriend thanks for the giggling during our coffee break. Like my 2 1/2 yr old grandson say's "It's amazing"!
Oh goodness, now I want a cinch machine!🤣❤️ I love these! LOVE the spiral journals!
Gayle Agostinelli "The bumbling crafter" 🤣. You are SO entertaining and now I NEED a Cinch thingamajig. 💛
I love my Cinch,so glad to see it be used for journals.Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Gayle for taking the mystery out of the machine for me 💕
Watching your videos is informative and very entertaining! We learn from our mistakes and you always find the solutions. I feel so fortunate to experience this with you in real time. Thank you so much!
Love these. Oh my I absolutely love all the papers!!
What a great way to make a journal! You made it so interesting. I am considering this product to purchase. Wow!
Thank you for doing this video!! I bought one years ago and never used it. You’ve inspired me to get it out.💕🌸
This is new to me thank you for the video. 🤗
They came out beautiful, great tutorial.
Yea Gayle, I was cheering for you, I'm so excited you decided to get those unfinished journals out, you inspired me to do the same thing. Thanks
I really appreciate this video! I just got the compact cinch and I’m so excited to try it out. There actually aren’t that many junk journal tutorials with this binding method so this was a fortuitous find! I also appreciated you sharing your mistake. It seems like something I would’ve done and may have gone crazy trying to figure out! Thank you for sharing this video!
Gayle - you are certainly colored-co- ordinated today. I really appreciated the last 2 days as I haven't used the cinch for a long time. Thank you for spending your time & energy reminding me. Bless your heart!
Thank you Gayle for this video. I have had my Cinch now for 4 months and was apprehensive to use it. I will Hugs be making my first wire bound journal.
Hi Gayle, great fun watching this video! You know I watch you everyday. I tell my daughter “I’m going to go hang out with Gayle now” and she laughs. She thinks you’re hilarious too. Thank you for all you do. Truly! 🤗
WHEW, I finally can breath....it worked, bless your heart!!!! I wanted it to work so bad for you I was holding my breath!!! And, Oh my gosh, that Cinch Machine is a little complicated for my little ol' brain!!!! I'd like to have one, but, could I figure out for sure how to do it or not!!! I LOVE the string/tied ones best as for as looks for sure, but I do like the fact that these spirals make the pages lay flat...so good and bad, right!!!! You are a delight to my ears....I need my Gayle *fix* every day!!!!
Cool machine! If I ever get one, I am happy to have this tutorial! Thanks!
I am so happy to see this.... I did it wrong the first time... and hadn't been brave enough to try it again... but I am now... thanks for sharing... love your work.
Well. This looks SO much easier than a Bind-It-All. I had one of those around 10 years ago and started experimenting with junk journaling, using old book covers and 45 records. I quit out of sheer frustration because it was nearly impossible to get the wires squeezed together evenly when the book was wider than the machine. I wasted a ton of money on wires and ended up with a lot of wonky books that wouldn’t open or close properly. It looks like this machine does a much better job! I might have to think about getting one of these and trying again. Thanks so much for doing this tutorial, bumbling moments and all! So helpful!!!
OMG!!! I have had this machine for a long time and never used it, now I will get it out and use it, thanks to you, your the best! Thank you for the tutorial. Jeanette
You are so funny Gayle. I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is flip the back cover to the front then lay pages down, back cover on bottom. Similar to what you did, however, you're just flipping back cover to front and keeping the rest of your journal together. Then lay each page down in order starting with the back cover. That way you don't lose track of direction. Heidi swapp does a great tutorial on the Cinch. I love seeing you bring some great old tools back.
How neat! This is a great machine! TFS!
I am clapping too! Ordered a machine frome your website, Thank you, Gayle

Gayle Agostinelli, yes I asked questions and the important comment from you was to attend every PT appointment. On day 6 from surgery, I went and will continue to go until I am well and discharged. Thank you for the good advice. Today is 8 days from surgery and I worked at sorting embellishments in my craft room.

Carolyn Baker love it! Taking it easy but moving a little bit is kind of a challenge. The difficulties of one handed crafting! Haha! Sending my best and big hugs! ❤️
Hi Gayle, I often did wonder how these journals were made. Thank you for the tutorial. VERY informative! XX, D.
I've always wanted a Cinch and now I really want one! Thanks for sharing how it works :-)
You are so funny. I’d never buy that machine, but loved the video and never knew how it worked. Had a good laugh with my morning coffee. Love you so much.....
I've always wanted one of these, this was great to watch as you have made it look much easier than I thought it would be, Thanks JuliAnn :)
Thank you Gayle, I can see some journals like this in my future.
I love your chuckle when it goes wonky. I feel like I'm in good company!
Always show us the bloopers! It makes me feel validated😉😉 love this machine Gayle.
Thank you for this, Gayle. I have a Cinch and loads of wires but haven't used it very much. Somehow I got the impression that if I made a journal with it then it wouldn't be a "proper" junk journal. Daft, I know. Anyhow I shall be giving it a go now.
Well done Gayle what a hoot,I was just as confused as you in end and howling😂😂😂😂💁got there in the end though Yeahhh ...Lizzie xx
How fun and super easy thank you for sharing this process.
I do the wires a little different Put the papers on first, top page on top Put front cover on Put back cover on (inside of back cover on top Squeeze wires together. Works both ways. I have to get my cinch out. I mostly use when doing a bible study w a book. That way the study book can wrap back on itself.

Thanx for explaining, having the hidden ends make the finished product look so much more professional.
I just purchased two rolls of that stiffened lace at Hobby Lobby in their Spring dept, just love it!
Hi Gayle, hope you're having a good summer. I got a cinch last Christmas and I I haven't played with it too much since then but I want to. Thanks for the inspiration and another great video.
Thank you for showing this to us. I am now thinking of getting myself a cinch binding tool.
These are getting trendy again, perhaps you can make another one. Thank you for your video. ❤️❤️❤️
You did a marvelous job. I have a cinch and wasn’t doing good with the instructions. It took some trial and error but I finally got it down.
Great video. I have a different machine, zudder or something. I have had for several years duh never have used. Need to. OMG I love buying but don’t always follow through. Bad girl! Thanks for this tutorial. Love when you get so excited, I do the same thing! Well let’s keep going!
Great video Gayle. I own a different one but I was cheering you on ❤️
Good job! I know when I use my bind it all,I get stuck on this step. I always have to go to youtube😊 Enjoying watching you finish you UFO's💗
On the third journal as you pressed down and went to see if it was correct my stomach lerched but yay perfect!!! Can’t find one of these thingys second hand anywhere, WRMK are going to see their sales soar, you are so good for business. It seems such a simple idea but from reading the comments it’s anything but!!! Your video will be so helpful to everyone. TFS 😻xx
I'd never seen a spiral being put in a book so am glad you shared this. I did try spiral binding a book but it was a fail. Thank you for sharing this.
I am loving these journals so much I may just wait on the printer and get cinch journal supplies. LOL You are still a bad influence on me!! I get so many great ideas from you and want to try them all! :)
This is a fabulous demo Gayle. Many thanks. I made my grandaughter a journal with a ready made book that has come apart. I think these coils are just wheat I need to fix it. 🙏🙏💜🌸
I love you. Thank you so much. Perfect❤️
You just gave me an idea Ms. Gayle. Thank you. I would be just like you confusing myself for every book, lolll. I love it, great job.
Needed this! Thanks.
Awesome Video, I was clapping with you when you got it right. Now I want a Cinch, you are an enabler Gayle. :)
Awww man! Now I want one of those thingies!! ☺
Your enabling me again... never thought I wanted journals like this, now I really want to give it a try. All I need is the cinch machine, wire binders. I have plenty of paper and glue to fill in between. Lol. They will be nice to use some of the papers that you can’t really sew into a signature
Thank you, thank you for making this video. I purchased the Cinch from Amazon Warehouse. It was a good deal, but the box was torn and taped and there were no instructions. I watched your video a couple of times. I think I have it down. I’m making a Christmas journal for my 86 year old mother. I think she will really enjoy this type of binding. I’m using Stamperia’s Pink Christmas and Artymaze Winters Tale. My mom and dad were hunter’s for many years so I think she will enjoy the pretty and the animals.

Oh it will be beautiful, Barbara! If you search Gayle Agostinelli Cinch, there may be more videos if you need them. ❤️
My husband and granddaughter were watching over my shoulder. Everyone was fascinated!
To save the wire and reuse it, put the handle almost all the way down, put the spiral back in the machine just like it was after you squeezed it closed. Now pull the handle up and take your pages out and start again
So glad you did this! I have a zutter!
This is so much harder than sewing signatures! My brain hurts just watching it!

It’s really not....I just “re-learned” while making the video, so I made it look harder than it is. It’s really pretty simple! ❤️
Hey Gayle, how exciting to learn something different in the binding of journals. You always do such a great job explaining things. But my head is still swimming around on the covers how to do...LOL. Maybe it is because I have a headache this morning and just can't focus. But looks like fun. Hugs Linda
Lol... Miz Gayle 😆 thanks for sharing!! Looking forward to the decorating videos. Stay Crafty 💜
I am with you! This kind of spatial thing is my Waterloo/Achille's heel!!! I appreciate seeing the entire thing because you make me see there is HOPE!!! lol... I used to teach, and we had a spiral bound machine that used plastic combs... The metal is soooo much more "voila!" I miss teaching for so many reasons... As hard as this was for me, I always had that one student who "got it" instantly and wanted to be Mr. or Miss I RUN THE MACHINE".... and I let it happen!!!! lol
Yea Gayle thanks for the tutorial I have this machine must say it's a little intimating since you showed how to punch the holes and bind I think I can do it
Now I want a Cinch! My hubby is wondering who my new friend is that is inspiring me to shop craft gadgets so much;)) Great video Gayle. My brain isn't a math brain either. That's why I am a Social Worker;) Love the video!
Thank you Gail.
Haven't seen the spiral-type. Thanks for all the instructions.
I don't hgave a "Cinch" but a "Zutter Bind-it-All". Like you, I always need to go back and review the procedure every time I drag out the machine. You have, however, inspired me to ring-bind some journals.
Well done those covers can tricky! Karen.
Thank you for sharing these videos. I had forgotten how to use my cinch lol
Very good. I haven't been able to try my out yet. So hopefully I can do it right. Love, k
I have a cinch , in a box, lol. Now I have to opEn it up and play with it, thanks for showing me how. 🤗
Needle and thread for me Gayle but then again I do like gadgets we shall see. Lol Thanks for sharing and your fun attitude about it all. Hugs n love
Cool machine !
I have on of these and forget to haul it out to use it. You motive me, and the front to back thing is tricky for me as well 😛
I had such a good chuckle with . I have a bind it all and its the same type of thing and i got it wrong too, so when you got it . =) i was like yeah she did it and laughed right along with ya . beautiful books
I like these..I would need a notebook with the steps written down..lol..🌷
I've been using mine for a long time I just love it.. But made lots of mistakes on the way lol. Beautiful job.
So this is how you use this thing-a-mig-jig!! :) :) TFS Gayle!! Hugs, Liz:)
I need to have a machine like this in my life. Sold!
I have a different spiral binding system but this is still very helpful. Thanks. xoxo
I love it when you’re happy with something you’ve made/done. I would write your little chant “front to back, back down... on the directions. It might help for next time. 😁💜💜
Hi Gayle - I had to pause and tell you to write that down on your instruction card. That way, the next time you get it out you will know exactly how to lay the cover and pages! I have to write everything down. Hope this helps! Journals are looking great. Hugs!
Great video 🌺 🌹 🌺
Jajjajja, Te ha quedado preciosa y me he reido muchísimo cuando has aplaudido porque no me lo esperaba y entiendo poco el inglés 🤣🤣🙌🙌
