Looks like I'm watching this 4 years later then when you originally made this video and I did the exact same thing as you did the 1st time. But as you did I re did the journal again follow your strict instructions and laugh along the way. I really enjoy your videos.💗Each time I do it I say the same words you say.... front to back.. Back down front up ... Front pages in. 😁

I love my Cinch binder! The most important paper in my whole craft room is the little yellow sticky note with my binding, pages instructions!! I have to review it everytime. Glad to see it's a brain buster for others too. When I decorate, I love to tie ribbon, lace and charms to the binding. Thanks for showing us how fun they turn out. 💕 it is a great sense of accomplishment! 😊 love you

Oh my. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I bought a cinch 4 years ago when I found one on clearance really cheap!! Tried making a journal - total fail. Couldn't wrap my head around how to put in together so it was correct - even watched a couple videos and still got it wrong. After watching yours I understand where I was going wrong!! Going to haul that unfinished journal out and try again!

There are many videos on you tube walking you through the process. You made this look like work!!!! I love you Gayle but you needed to research this again. I go through my saved video everytime I want to use the cinch because I too forget how to do the different steps. I showed my girlfriend the different ways to use the wire binding using 3 holes on up.... and doing lots of different papers, tags, envelopes etc.....The reason for putting your pages on first then the front cover, back cover is so when your done and flip the back cover over it locks the wires to the back. Love you girlfriend thanks for the giggling during our coffee break. Like my 2 1/2 yr old grandson say's "It's amazing"!

I LOVE the string/tied ones best as for as looks for sure, but I do like the fact that these spirals make the pages lay flat...so good and bad, right!!!! Well. This looks SO much easier than a Bind-It-All. I had one of those around 10 years ago and started experimenting with junk journaling, using old book covers and 45 records. I quit out of sheer frustration because it was nearly impossible to get the wires squeezed together evenly when the book was wider than the machine. I wasted a ton of money on wires and ended up with a lot of wonky books that wouldn’t open or close properly. It looks like this machine does a much better job! I might have to think about getting one of these and trying again. Thanks so much for doing this tutorial, bumbling moments and all! So helpful!!!

You are so funny Gayle. I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is flip the back cover to the front then lay pages down, back cover on bottom. Similar to what you did, however, you're just flipping back cover to front and keeping the rest of your journal together. Then lay each page down in order starting with the back cover. That way you don't lose track of direction. Heidi swapp does a great tutorial on the Cinch. I love seeing you bring some great old tools back.

I have to get my cinch out. I mostly use when doing a bible study w a book. That way the study book can wrap back on itself.
