Cillian and his family came to ride the Maid of the Mist a few years ago and I had the pleasure in escorting them through the facility. They are very humble people. He told a few jokes in the elevator down to the vessel. Very polite people. Great guy!

Dude his performance in Oppenheimer is surreal!

I watched the series of Peaky Blinders and was mesmerized…..I’m not a movie goer and now quite elderly. I would love to have access to watch every thing he’s done. Masterful and his eyes are a real draw‼️

Tommy Shelby was the role of a lifetime I always thought for Cillian. He’s such a powerhouse in that show. Then I saw his performance in Oppenheimer. Cillian really is one of the goats.

There's a huge difference between Colin Farrell and Cillian. Colin was a bad boy not saying he wasn't a good actor He just caused too much trouble.. Cillian is way more advanced in so many ways In all his endeavors in the business..

He's so hot in Peaky Blinders. I had no idea he was only 5'7"

I've been in love with him since 28 Days Later, but holy shit, he was meant for this role. Such a beautiful person ❤

Brutal movie!

Knowing that the world has an actor called Cillian Murphy is such a reassuring thought. "One of the most modest and secretive actors of all times", how precisely. Watching his performance is a satisfactory artistic experience.

there are so many actors who say they don't want the fame... but i don't buy it. they act contradictory. however, with Cillian it is obviously true. He just doesn't act for the fame. there is no fluff with him. He feels so real. he just shows up and deliver great performances. but knowing someone is a good person in real life, while maybe it shouldn't matter, it does to me. liking an actor and seeing their work, it matters greatly to me how they are off screen. hearing how a lot of male actors go "method" just to be trash on set, and bully others and send them rats and yell in their face etc... - it takes my love of their movies away. Cillian is a quality guy. i love that he has been married for almost 20 years. that's great. i love he lives in ireland and doesn't like the hollywood scene. doesn't even like social media. it's just so nice. and also kinda works to his careers favor weather he likes it or not 😄 bc the mystery of actors are just gone today.. but someone like him - he still leaves you wondering. intrigues you. i respect that. I admire him so much. he has always been there in the background of a lot of movies i watched for the last two decades. i always knew of him, even have a friend who looks just like him and yet, i didn't get into his work and truly started to notice how incredible he is, until a few months ago. i don't know what's wrong with my younger self. must have been blind 👀 Cillian Murphy 🔥 One of the greatest actors working today.

You've hit the nail on the head with everything you've said, I've been put off and won't watch some actors bc of their entitled behaviour, but Cillian is so different from all that trash, which makes him even more perfect!

His assumption is wrong, it captured the audiences cos of his acting skill, and his auro, his amazing beautiful self. His deliverance is phenomenal. That's what has got us so captivated.

Funny I thought he's more like David Bowie when the comparison with Colin Farrell came up. then you talked about the connection with Bowie. That made me happy haha. Cillian is a fascinating actor.

Yet a another Great Irish Actor.

His brother's name is Páidi...its procounced Paw-Dee, his sister's name is Síle....pronounced Shee-La. You did fine with Orla! Irish names are pretty difficult to pronounce 🤷‍♀️

Great video biography. I would think it is worthwhile updating the end to include the Oscar wins by Cillian, Nolan and their movie. Of course, along with some color commentary.

It is so important to expose all children to all aspects of the arts. Acting, music, dance, painting, pottery, it gives them an outlet for their energy and being.

I love him, I think he is a great actor and finally he will have I hope the success he deserve for sure! just simple man with a nice family..but such a good actor:) and like a lot his privacy too...so difficult to find nowadays!!!!

28 days later was the first movie I saw him in. No idea who he was but I loved his performance.

I think he stayed humble because of his upbringing, and he seems like a introvert at heart so I’d doubt he was ever interested in the big and loud Hollywood parties and night clubs. Personally I would be the same if I was famous, being around too many people would drive insane. I’ll take my small group of friends and family over all the money in the world.

If your only have watched him in Oppenheimer than you don’t know what you are missing him playing in Peaky Blinders. You can stop watching it.

This video is quite well made! As a long time fan of Murphy though I have to point out that on two instances in the personal life section, two different photos of his women co stars from Anthropoid and Aloft were wrongly included when referring to his wife Yvonne. Also in the play Hamnet the photos included in the video weren't of his son Aran but of the other young actor who would act on alternate nights! It's important to get things like that right when making such a video I think! Overall good work though!

I'm a bit odd in that I very rarely care to invest my time nor energy into keeping up with the world. I rarely watch movies bc it feels redundant... sex, violence, drugs, cars, political agenda... etc etc etc. It underwhelms me. It feels like there is no real thought to express humanity in any of its forms. Everything just started to seem cliché. When I watched "Peacock", I felt like I came away as a better person somehow. It softened me inside in a way that I can't define. It was moving. I thought to myself "that should be the goal of the entertainment industry".
