Love CIF's new format. Schools like Lakewood and Northwood have been getting shafted for decades. Nice to see these small schools get some love !

@@kalipooh3388 only cause of location. No school poses a threat to poly at all through the year. The restructure CIF did is good for these schools that can definitely compete in the lower DIVs where they don’t regularly play.

A few things to take from this. 1. This was a gift for Northwood. They were clearly in the wrong bracket and should have been playing a few divisions above, so this expected outcome was not in doubt. 2. An 8-6 season, on the outside, may be above average, but, seeing that Lakewood got to make history by hosting a section divisional final at home, this season was pretty good, however... 3. Three losses of the six were in games where a trophy was at stake. Not a good look. It is time for Lakewood to start raiding the camps of other schools and get the disgruntled kids to transfer, on grounds of relative season progression. (Wanna play for a CIF trophy? Join the Lancers! You'll have to earn your spot, but the payoff is going to be awesome! etc.) 4. Justin Utupo should be staying put. Northwood won't get him, and even if JC Clarke retires, the fact that the T-Wolves won back to back sectional division trophies means another up and coming coach will probably succeed him. Besides, unfinished business is that, and he'll be here for a while. If not, Lakewood football is going to regress, and that's not gonna cut it. 5. Northwood need to win state. They are capable of winning their regional bowl, and then win state. Should they fail to do this, they have wasted their Santa Claus victory over us (and yes, our AD looks like an IRL Santa. What are we, North Pole, AK?) and we deserve to get the last laugh. Good season. Get better, boys. Till next year... #GoWood

@@file2hd6026 exactly lol. They are in Irvine dude. They are a pretty good sports school tho. But I thought the bracket was fair. Gotta remember too that the Northwood coach use to coach in the Moore league so he has experience.

@@jvcarter21 And when you're a good sports school, winning state in your own division is very doable, so they need to do that to validate their performance on Saturday.
