How is real world Cid, a Batman-esque character who beats up entire biker gangs going to have low diff against a fat NEET who has 0 combat training? IMO, and there is no version of Rudy (even Oldeus) that matches up to Cid, none. In fact, he is Rudeus’ Kryptonite. A fast, extremely durable, extremely destructive, extremely precise, skilled and intelligent fighter with extremely high mobility and can outlast him in mana. Everytime he fought someone who can soak his magic armor’s damage, close the distance and break thru its defenses, he has gotten his butt handed to him. What exactly is Rudeus gonna do to even give him any difficulty at all? Rudy gets the donut treatment or even the double disarm treatment. No diff in every matchup.

My point stands, Shadow is historically the type of enemy Rudeus has trouble with and Shadow is too fast, too skilled, too powerful. Rudeus won’t be able to touch him and Shadow can easily close the distance and slice and dice. No diff in every matchup.

Same thing could go with Cid, he was already a hard worker in his Pasteur life, just keeps the grind even in afterlife. Usually Isekai protags are losers, no lifes, who were lucky to enough to reincarnated and were granted great powers (magic eyes, magic blessings and stuff). I prefer Cid because of his hardworking mentality since his past life.

What I wouldn't be so sure about is Shadow speed vs Longsword of Light (Mushoku Tensei's most broken sword technique) or Sword Privation Realm (with a sword that could cut shadow in half, quite similar to Sukuna's domain expansion from JJK, but with much less drawbacks) [second most broken technique in MT, ridiculous attack range, only one user] But realistically speaking if Cid and Rudeus met each other Cid would get excited over the MK I gundam mecha or some sh!t

I think you forget that the universe where each one lives is different, for example in rudeos there are limits where mana allows you to advance, while in del cid there are none, if cid had been in moshoku from the beginning there would not have been come this far since many of the things he did to improve himself would not work since the mana there has more limits, as well as physically, cid or shandow would never have gone this far and would be very far from even being one of the most powerful , I would never beat Orsted, since the universe of Mushoku there are many limits, both in the use of mana and physically, if Rudos were from the beginning in The Eminence in Shadow I would surely have gone the same or further than cid, since he was one of the strongest in a universe with quite a few limits, so he would reach an even further level in one where there are none.

u see that because mushoku is better at building the story so u can see the journey of rudeus and how hard it is but Cid not like that he can easily know about how the world work and start learning, that why he can be able to master the mana when still a child.I would say if cid in any other universe the first thing he do is start learning about how the world going and master it.And if the mana has more limits then no matter cid can still get the badge sword ( sword saint,sword king,sword emperor,sword god ). Didnt the fire ball that Rudy shot off at orsted in ep 21 have the output of an atomic bomb it was described something like that because thats what Rudy was imagining sacrificing everything (people and surroundings included) just because he wanted to stop orsted from hurting eris and ruijerd. If he didnt obsorb the attack it would have caused great destruction and most likely killed everyone (except orsted) in the area

Cid designed the slime uniforms they’re now using. Figured out how to make mana go critical mass, figured out how to negate mana drain on the fly while being attacked (something Rudy hasn’t been able to do even now). Figured out how to use magic to give himself CPR and to stitch wounds. Figured out how to use mana for a variety of ways unheard of in his world and managed to design a combat style that even masters in both his worlds are speechless at their brilliance. And on top of that, he became a piano virtuoso just so that he’d look cool. The guy is brilliant beyond belief, just insane.

What you said about Cid is BIQ lmao. Before becoming Neet, Rudeus was considered intelligent beyond his age. He assembled his own computer in high school and was able to write code. Having depression has nothing to do with IQ. Shadow fans are indeed children
