When I used to live in Brasil, I used to get a thing string and tie around cicadas (cigarra in Portuguese) and ave them as pets rofl. Now many cultures do eat insects and again back in Brasil there's an ant called Tanajura (Atta or leafcutter ants in the US) and I to get a large amount of them and had my grandmother make a dish called farofa using only the rear part of the ant. There's also a very good chef in Brasil called Alex Atala who started using ants mainly because he went to see someone who used a species of ant in her cooking which he found to be incredible. Now lets not forget if you eat shell fish you are eating an insect. I'll save the best for last since it is this amazing insect that not only provides us with a sweet liquid, but is the main reason plants are alive and well....the bees.
Cicada! The new motor/esc combo by Holmes!😉

perfect for just buzzing around
One in a million John
We're in the southern Appalachia, the cicadas are just about gone. I live in a hardwood forest, and cicadas are forest food!
We got them in Massachusetts. We just call them "Heat bugs."
The first decade after moving to Southern Ga they drove me nuts, now my brain + ears actively noise cancel them out.
you have a pill bug farm ? that's awesome . I have a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach farm ( lizard food ) and i have some pill bugs , for my dirt of course
I thought learning about nature from David Attenborough was the only way. You may have possibly almost changed nature documentary standard.
Smashin bugs, no mercy shown, not many in Asheville North Carolina. Did a local comp Saturday and it was 90 out there, I never heard one.
I'm in New Zealand and we get them a lot in summer but I don't remember there being a lot of them from one summer to the next We used to collect the skeletons of them when I was a kid
I was just swarmed today by cicadas in Wisconsin.
I think you just made the bug video to debut a new song. 😅😂

Not in Omaha, Yet. I remember as a kid not even wanting to go outside when the Cicadas would get noising, it was unbearable.

almost deafening sometimes
Great thumbnail! AI make that? And your song intro said "bug invasion", but at first I thought it said "fuggin vasion".
I believed you don’t speak cicada until the camera went in tight at the end there. Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me.
Bucha broods this year!
Loud and annoying? Y'all must be related 😜 I'm kidding cicadas are much less annoying 🤣 I used to go to Mississippi every summer as a kid to visit family the sound is still ringing in my head 50 years later!!! I haven't seen any cicadas since I've moved to Utah... But we have Mormon crickets! Which are like a crazy giant mutant grasshopper.

Everywhere here in NC so loud!! I think these are the 13 year ones.
cicada motor lineup incoming🤣
I’m not that far off from you. They’re loud as heck. But I’d take them over the skeeters and gnats any day.
