Nothing but respect for Ireland...brought the game to SA, and we rarely looked like winning. The amount of blood from the SA players, shows how much fire the Irish brought. Even with injuries, your boys just slotted in the next player in line, and Ireland played without missing a beat. Well done, the rivalry between the Boks and Ireland is alive and well, founded on a mutual respect.

As a Saffa I can only respect this Irish team. They never gave up and played as if their lives depended on it. What two drop goals at the end by Frawley. Well deserved in the end. Both teams could have won both tests. 1-1 is a fair result. An incredible series by the two top teams in the world. Fair play to Ireland. Enjoy the victory.

Irish players need to get a lot of the credit too. They've been improving with every coach not long after the game went pro. First Gatland, then EOS, Kidney, Schmidt and Farrell. The common denominator is they've evolved and gotten better with each coach. In saying that, I've always been a huge fan of Farrell and think he's doing a superb job especially when it comes to player selection. He's making Cullen look like an amateur.

What a great win! Brilliant first half and then that storm that came at them in the second half. Giving away penalties again but, to be fair, it was because of the relentless Boks pressure, Ireland took most of their chances but got held up over the line again and Doris was almost in for a try but was held up by a brilliant tackle. All in all, I think Ireland will be happy and the Boks will feel they let it slip from their grasp in the end. It was a Boks mistake to give away that lineout to Ireland at the end. A second victory in our last three meetings against the Boks in recent months, with last Saturday being the sweetest of the lot is a terrific achievement for Andy Farrell and his squad. I believe Ciaran Frawley played Gaelic football with Skerries Harps before changing to the oval ball and was no stranger to kicking the ball over the bar which he did with some aplomb on Saturday superbly with the oval ball . I honestly never ever expected quarter finalists to beat four time world champions by such a slim margin. Well done to Ireland, I'm from Johannesburg and came with a massive contingent for this event and literally lost a small fortune on my bet when I made my prediction in Sandton before I flew to KZN. I've got new respect for this resilient Irish team and would have hoped Minister McKenzie could have scheduled a 3rd test to balance this madness. The Irish fans were very pleasant to drink with and I enjoyed interacting with them so well done Ireland, hope we meet in a semi or decider next time as I believe Ireland has massive confidence and audacity to achieve what they have just achieved against all odds against my team.

Well in the first game we didnt really score either from creating space. Irish are much better at creating space. It's a better game plan and system. So we have allot to do but it seems we are starting to change the game plan. It will take time. Congratulations on a very good win

Easy to kick a 'drop' goal if it doesn't bounce. Bit cheap but it got him the win. If the irish are the best at anything it certainly is cheap tricks. Probably took a page from mcaws book

Ireland reminds me of the kid on the playground that finds every excuse for their losses but when they win they are so shameless in victory😂. They certainly have no character. This is another reason why they cant perform on a RWC stage. These are the same people that made excuses of injuries, 13 month season, no moral in the squad, etc as if the Springboks did not have the exact same issues. Now that they scraped a victory and DRAWN THE SERIES BY DEFAULT CAUSED BY WORLD RUGBY FIXTURES they suddenly forgot about their issues and claiming this is the best victory of all time? Wow, such cowardly people. They couldn't even come support their team in droves as they do else where because they were fearing a 2-0 loss. I hope world rugby allows SA to play a 3 match series home and away against Ireland because this had become more than just a "rivalry"...

They don’t have faith in the team when the chips are down but change their tune afterwards and revise things. The squad have proved over a long period of time how good they are and they won’t lie down for anyone. No more of that loser mentality or happy with a good effort. That’s a thing of the past. I think years of losing in the past leaves a long term mark.
